Chad Ochocinco: He’s Got Game But Does He Have Moves Too?

Another professional football star set to appear on popular television dance show.By: Taren Vaughan

NFL football players are known for their talent but are also highly recognized for their often dramatic and comical end zone dances that are often mimicked by fans across the nation. While end zone dancing may be their specialty, you often wonder how well they can Salsa or do the Tango. One NFL player is about to show us what he can do.

Dancing With The Stars first aired on ABC in the summer of 2005 and has become one of ABC’s most popular shows, drawing in millions of viewers each season. Celebrities from all different backgrounds have appeared on DWTS including rappers, singers, actors/actresses and many more. One group of individuals that seems to really stir up the crowd are the athletes, namely the professional football players.

On Season 7, former NFL defensive tackle Warren Sapp made his presence felt on the stage with partner Kym Johnson and managed to become one of the final couples standing in the end. Although he didn’t win that season, I must say Warren Sapp was pretty impressive; he was light on his feet and had a way with the audience, keeping them entertained with his humorous personality.

Dancing With The Stars has also seen the likes of Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith and Lawrence Taylor. You will never guess who’s next to retire their cleats for a moment and put on his dancing shoes…The one and only Chad Ochocinco.

Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Chad Ochocinco (formerly known as Chad Johnson) will be a participant in the 2010 season of Dancing With The Stars this upcoming spring. The Miami native has broken several franchise records including most touchdowns in a game, most receiving yards of all time and he has had the most seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards. Aside from his skills on the football field, Ochocinco is most famous for legally changing his name to reflect his jersey number which is 85.

Now this man is great on the gridiron but how well will he perform on the dance floor? We’ll just have to wait and see.
