UNC Tarheels’ Ed Davis Headed To The NBA

One of the Tarheels’ leading scorers goes pro

Although the North Carolina Tarheels’ men’s basketball program is about to inherit some new talent, one of their best players will not be returning next season.

Ed Davis has announced that he will be entering this year’s NBA draft. The 6-foot-10 forward is known for his incredible shot blocking ability. Not to mention, he is also not afraid to crash the boards, averaging 9.6 rebounds during the 2009-2010 basketball season.

Like many other college superstar athletes, Davis has always had a desire to go pro. But he definitely had a great experience as a Tarheel.

“I’ve had two great years at North Carolina both as a player and a student and now I want to pursue my lifelong dream of playing in the NBA,” “I love being a Tar Heel and am proud to know that I will always be part of this unique family.” –Ed Davis

Losing Ed Davis is a great loss to the Tarheels’ defensive and offensive line ups. But as always, Roy Williams and company will make adjustments as they still have a number of very talented players on the team.
