Michelle Obama Wants to Be Beyonce

Say what you want about Beyonce but even First Lady Michelle Obama thinks she’s dope.

Beyonce Knowles is one of the most polarizing black artists in music, and has been so for over a decade. She has achieved massive success and accolades as a solo singer; but we’ve known her since she reached milestones as the lead singer of one of the world’s most successful girl groups, Destiny’s Child.  Over the years, it’s been made quite clear that either you love or extremely hate Beyonce for who you’ve known her to be in the media. And depending on what corner of the internet you frequent, you could possibly think Beyonce was sent here to destroy all of mankind, and you know, be the birther to a demon child.

Beyonce makes headlines for being completely and annoyingly too private, as most critics form their own theories regarding the singer’s marriage, uterus, and true personality. Most have never met the young superstar; yet they’re convinced that she has to be one of the worst human beings on the planet.

After recently being named The Most Beautiful Woman in the World by People, the contempt for this woman has reached the highest of levels. She can’t even have kids without pissing someone off.

Despite any of her ongoing criticism and the nasty speculation on her marriage, family life, and reasons for her success; not everyone is on the Hate on Beyonce bandwagon. Especially not the First Lady of the United States; Michelle Obama.

The two have had quite an interesting relationship over the last few years as she sought out Beyonce to help her bring awareness to childhood obesity with an energetic dance video full of dancing kids; and she was even requested to serenade the Obamas as they danced on the night of the 44th President’s  Inauguration.

It’s pretty obvious that Michelle digs Beyonce, and in an a recent interview with People, she reveals that she’d even like to be Beyonce, in another life. When asked who’d she’d like to be if she wasn’t the First Lady:

“I’d be Beyonce. I’d be some great singer… It looks like musicians just have the most fun.”

Can Beyonce be that horrible of a person if someone as dope as Michelle Obama would be her if she had the option?

  1. 10 years later and Beyonce still brings out the worst in some women. Chick hasn’t done anything to warrant all the negativity she gets. She hasn’t stole anyone’s husband or man, made a sex tape and had a career happen because of it, hurt anyone, or did anything to most of you personally. So why be so childish? Even Michelle respects her.

    1. She’s too successful. Nothing more, nothing less. That’s why I don’t get into the whole Beyonce debate. Nothing but jealousy.

  2. Seriously?! Okay so Michelle O wants to be a woman who had to backstab her way to success, marry a drug dealer, and fake her pregnancy to stay relevant? Talk about low standards. And yes, I’m a hater and frankly I have every right to be.

Why? Because you aren’t successful in life too? That’s YOUR bad.

  3. I’m convinced that all the former members of Destiny’s Child spend all their time dragging Beyonce on blogs while she drags their “careers” in real life.

  4. I really don’t know how to feel about this. It’s just not something I ever imagined I’d hear coming out of Michelle’s mouth. What a disappointment.

  5. Of course she wants to be Beyonce. Beyonce is a role model. She’s a black woman that waited until she was married before having some man’s babies. She works hard and she respects herself. The criticisms of her are baseless and immature. She’s done good and deserves her fortune. Most importantly is that she doesn’t let what people say about her get to her.

  6. Seriously, why does this black woman bring out all of this venom from other black women? Its just silly if you ask me.

  7. I’m actually disappointed in Michelle Obama for making that statement. I love Beyonce, but why would a beautiful, Harvard educated, first lady of the United States covet the life of a pop star? I mean, I get it. Bey is probably the most successful superstar since Whitney, Janet, or Mariah, but I wouldn’t have expected someone of Michelle’s stature to be so obsessed. smh.
