An African immigrant managed to find himself in a rather odd situation this past Monday.

The man, Koffi Mbairamadji, 46, was arrested for and accused of throwing boulders into the window of a KFC restaurant although he has no hands. Koffi, brought over to the United States by the United Nations, only speaks Swahili and had to use a translator during his arraignment.

KFC employee Martin Ventura said he saw Mbairamadji use his arms to launch a rock the size of a volleyball through a window. Ventura said Mbairamadji chased an unidentified woman into the KFC restaurant earlier in the day, and ended up getting punched in the face by a customer who was  protect ingher. Ventura  is assuming that earlier event is what led the suspect to allegedly break the window hours later, according to KOAT in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

“All this glass is all over, and it’s like, ‘What the heck happened?'”

KFC employees said Mbairamadji also found a brick and launched it through a drive-through window. Police said no one was hurt in either rock-throwing incident. Mbairamdji is currently at the Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial. There is no word on whether or not Mbairamdji will be deported.

No one from the UN could be reached for a comment.

The author of the blog IntoBolivian.com believes this charge against Mbairamadji is frivolous and should be thrown out.

You can’t pick up a boulder with your foot like a hackey sack, nor can you do it with handless arms.  It’s like the difference between a fork and chopsticks.  You can’t eat a whole watermelon with chopsticks.  I’m not saying a black guy didn’t chase a woman into KFC and destroy its windows with rocks.  I’m just saying it wasn’t THIS black guy.

Story is developing.
