Lil Scrappy Frank Ocean

Lil Scrappy is a controversial star on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. He recently revealed to The Breakfast Club on 105.1 FM that the Stevie J. fight was staged by the show’s producers, and he’s rumored to have broken up with baby mama Erica to start dating Buckeye again. He also took to his Twitter account to express his critical opinions on Soulja Boy and Diamond dating. And when Lil Scrappy and Diamond were dating, he told Kandi, while appearing on her online talk show that they were kind of abusive towards one another. Now Lil Scrappy has immersed himself into another firestorm on Twitter and the internet over the holiday weekend. The Love and Hip Hop Atlanta star threw out his opinion on Frank Ocean coming out as a gay man during his interview with TMZ Live.

“I’m glad that he came out … so all the real women that love to mess with real men, straight men, we can keep the AIDS situation down, you feel me?”

“[homosexuality] is a doorway to AIDS, scientifically.”

Almost as soon as this interview aired on TMZ Live, Lil Scrappy dealt with a backlash about the comments from fans and critics alike. Most felt Lil Scrappy bashed the LGBT community without merit. However, the Center of Disease Control in Atlanta has stats that essentially back up Lil Scrappy’s claim.

According to TMZ,

There is evidence that shows men who have sex with men are at an increased risk of contracting HIV.  According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, men who have sex with men accounted for 61% of all new HIV infections in 2009.

Even though the evidence from the CDC is there, Lil Scrappy still had to take to his Twitter page to defend his comments.

  1. As ghetto as Scrappy is, he told the damn truth and he shouldn’t have to apologize for it. I don’t hate the gay community, but science has already stated a long time ago that it’s easier for HIV/AIDS to be transmitted between two men than a man catching it from a woman. Saying this doesn’t make someone a bigot. I wish we could have real conversations about homosexuality, sex, and STD’s without people using religion and bigotry claims as a means to keep people silent and afraid to speak the truth.

  2. He said the truth so what’s the problem? People are too sensitive these days and will do anything to prevent the truth from being said.

  3. BUt still wat does that have to do with him coming out???? Regardless of him stating facts… WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH FRANK OCEAN COMING OUT OF THE CLOSET??? he could have left that part out!!!!!

  4. Thank you Queen, Pandora and Gia! State the truth and NEVER apologize for it! Gay is nasty, women do need to know if a man is gay and taking it up the butt, it is a high risk sexual activity! I’m sick and tired of all this gay talk, like they a race. Its a sexual choice, like people who enjoy somebody pissing on them. I think both are nasty!
