Mimi Faust has had a hard first shot at reality television. Although the Love And Hip Hop Atlanta star became one of the most controversial of the cast members due to being one-third of the crazy love triangle that many felt made the show, Mimi seems to get more criticism than any other cast member. And most of the criticism people have for Mimi was that they felt she stayed too long with a very cheating Stevie J. And despite his openness about his inappropriate relationship with his artist Joseline (which we learned early on was sexual), on the show, we continued to see Mimi attempt to make the relationship work for what she claims was the sake of their daughter.
The thought of Mimi trying to work anything out with Stevie J. when he was obviously not taking the relationship he had with Mimi seriously infuriated a lot of people. And because of that, many have been criticizing and even attacking Mimi on her Twitter account for being too loyal to Stevie J.
The criticisms finally caused Mimi to have some sort of break down after the Reunion show, and she made a video cursing out her critics.
So it should come as no surprise that Mimi sums up her whole experience on Love And Hip Hop Atlanta as “terrible.”
In a recent interview with Street Disciplez Radio, Mimi says the following about her time on the show:
“It was terrible, it was absolutely awful.”
When it comes to the criticisms she gets about staying with Stevie J. despite his cheating with Joseline, she says:
“I didn’t stick with anything, that’s what people don’t know. Because you guys saw us at the park doesn’t mean I stuck with him. That was me agreeing to go to counseling and me agreeing to sit down with him.”
Whether or not the whole experience would keep her from coming back for the second season of Love And Hip Atlanta:
“I wouldn’t say that at all. I didn’t enjoy that experience because everything was a surprise to me. I watched it unravel and unfold just like everybody else watched it.”
On the rumors that the show is scripted:
“The only thing I know was what I saw on tape. I film and I tape, that’s the only time I know what’s going on. I don’t know any other cast member, including Stevie, what he filmed and who he filmed with and what it was about. They don’t tell us anything, they keep us in the complete dark.”
And what would an interview with Mimi be without her spilling a little tea? She claims that the star of the show, Joseline Hernandez, almost did not make the cut. She was actually added on to the show at the very last minute and not an original cast member:
“Joseline wasn’t supposed to be on the show, we had all the cast members in place. She kind of got on the show by default.”
Mimi can’t be mad at anyone but herself. She made HERSELF look stupid on national tv. Many times.
You know I really think Mimi is more upset about Joseline being the bigger star than Stevie cheating on her. Her comments about Joseline weren’t really called for either. She’s obviously jealous.
Joseline may have been added at the last minute but there’s no denying that she made the show. Mimi really is jealous. How bizarre.
LOL poor Mimi. I think people would hate her less if she just stopped dealing with Stevie J. I’d love to see her moving on and doing her on the next season.
Stevie wouldn’t know what to do with himself if Mimi moved on and started dating someone else. That would make for great tv too. Lmao
I still don’t understand why Mimi is still complaining about the criticism she got. She looked like a fool for Stevie J. Of course people will play you for that. She really can’t be mad at anyone but herself. She made the choice to keep entertaining him.
Is she serious though? She was doing more than counseling and sitting down with him. She was trying to work the relationship out. And her reason was their kid. That’s silly to me. It would actually be better for the kid if he ended her romantic relationship with Stevie and just peacefully co-parented.
I think Mimi just has to get to the point that she doesn’t care what other people have to say about her. She just needs to do what’s best for her daughter and what’s best for her daughter is probably her not trying to have something romantic with Stevie J.
If Mimi is coming back next season, it couldn’t have been that terrible. I think she likes all the attention. Period.
MiMi girl if I could slap your picture on that computer screen. Yes, she was trying to make it work but she needs to ask herself did he make it work with the other 4 baby momma’s…Im sure they have history with him as well because there kids are the oldest. He has a 15 yr old son so if you were in the picture then with those “15 years” you kept screaming about then sweety he was making babies on you way back then.
MiMi is a beautiful woman but very broken!
I never understood how people could come down on a woman for being loyal. We watched one situation unfold in the course of a couple months. in 45 minute chapters once a week. People act like this show has been on for 8 season and she has been cheated on several times on national television.
SO MANY women go through this. Some of them are the ones sitting there talking poorly about her. I think that Mimi is trying to get over what she has been going through. I would be pretty annoyed and pissed off too. If some WHORE was making her self famous by stomping all over the life you thought you knew and laughing in your face while she does it.
I am rooting for Mimi and I hope she comes back for a second season and lets them all HAVE IT in the face! Haters included.
