When Nicki Minaj first stepped on the Hip Hop scene, she originally pushed the typical aggressive in your face sexuality that most female rappers continue to perpetrate. It’s always been understood that most up and coming female rappers feel like they must sell sex to sell records, and Nicki originally thought the image would get her to the forefront of Hip Hop. Of course, this is where the Lil Kim comparisons originated, and eventually the epic beef between Lil Kim and the Head Barbie. Along with the skimpy (or lack of) clothes, comes the typical sexuality of the female rapper and female entertainer, and that is of course bisexuality. In Nicki’s first set of interviews, when the subject of bisexuality came up, some suggest she made it quite clear that she was sexually attracted to other women. Here’s a snippet of the Details Magazine interview that started the rumors of Nicki Minaj’s bisexuality:
Q: As an openly bisexual rapper, do you think hip-hop is getting more gay-friendly?
A: I think the world is getting more gay-friendly, so hip-hop is too. But it’s harder to imagine an openly gay male rapper being embraced. People view gay men as having no street credibility. But I think we’ll see one in my lifetime.
And in an interview with Complex Magazine:
“When I rap, it’s just an extension of how I speak, and that’s how I talk. If you don’t like it, don’t listen. I’m also not going to explain something just because I said it in a rap. Take what you want from it. [In the press] I didn’t say [I don’t like women]. I said I don’t have sex with women. I don’t have sex with men right now either. If [bisexual is] what they wanna call me, then fine.”
The confusion for most people also stems from the fact that Nicki has rapped about women sexually in many of her rap verses. And in Usher’s song Little Freak, the lyrics were unmistakeably clear that she was attracted to women.
Despite that, Nicki’s still pretty much backed down from the rumors. And now she’s admitted that she only fueled the allegations and allowed the bisexual label just for attention.
Here’s a snippet of a recent interview with Rolling Stones (the latest issue), in which Nicki admits the Bisexual bit was just for attention and developing a fan base:
Early in her career Minaj claimed to be bisexual, but now says she just did that to get attention. “I think girls are sexy,” she says. “But I’m not going to lie and say that I date girls.”
In related news, it appears that Nicki’s latest controversy has led to her voting records being exposed. As we recently reported, Nicki Minaj drew outrage and even death threats from many as she was heard endorsing Mitt Romney for President and labeling herself as a Republican on a recent track. Well Gawker just confirmed that those claims couldn’t be true. Especially since Nicki isn’t even registered to vote.
Of course she lied. Nicki is a liar. Always has been. She even lied on her own father for sympathy press. She said he abused her mother and said she was lying through her teeth. He could be lying but this chick stays getting caught in lies, so I doubt it.

Thank you!! That’s what I’ve been saying… There’s no need to dicriminate and hate on someone so publicly. If you don’t like her that much ignore her. Don’t pay any of her stuff any attention. You’ll find it’s easier than stressing about typing some unnecessary hate message.
I never believed her in the first place. It’s obvious she’s dating her hypeman and has been for years. It’s sad, but these female rappers and singers feel like they have to appear to be a certain way to be successful.
How do you not believe in a person? She’s still here, and a singer no matter who does or does not believe in her… It’s called entertainment for a reason guys. Who takes lyrics seriously these days? It’s meant to entertain and tell a story, whether its true or not is irrelevant. You take from the song what you want to, not what they want you to in the end. So it’s not really about believing in the artist, it’s about believing in the entertainment value of a message written by a person who’s paid to entertain.

Nicki’s fans are diehards because she doesn’t care if they’re different or the same. She values everyone for them, not for their societal value in terms of race or riches… She doesn’t care about that. She’s about representing those who can’t fight for themselves, she’s about standing up for yourself, and being a role model to a new generation of young adults. You may not personally like her, but she makes everyone feel like everyone is supposed to be equal… That just because you’re different doesn’t mean you’re not just as valuable and important. Showing young adults that there’s something to aspire to.
So let me guess, you probably believe that NOW since she is in Hollywood doing the “Hollywood thing” that she likes whites too,huh?

If Nicki was worried about all the haters, she wouldn’t have put out two albums and an EP the way she did. She would have changed after putting her first mainstream album out. Besides that, Nicki actually changed her image in the first place to put out her mainstream album. Her mixtape material is what she’s actually heading towards, with an extra step towards progression.
