Kenya Moore might have been crowned Miss USA in 1993, but she’s definitely not coming across as Ms. Congeniality on Real Housewives of Atlanta. Just two episodes into Season 5 of the hit Bravo reality show, many are disappointed with Kenya ‘s behavior and personality on the show. On the first episode, she’s already gotten into her first beef with housewife Cynthia, and she came off a little arrogant during auditions for JET Magazine’s Beauty of the Week. Regardless, Kenya seems to strike an interesting chord in viewers that might make her a viable replacement for Sheree Whitfield, seeing as she’s also guilty of having a very strong personality that can cause enough drama in the group. However, many feel Kenya is ruining her own reputation just to be interesting on RHOA.
It appears that Kenya may agree with the disappointed viewers. In a recent interview with the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Kenya admits that she does understand that she isn’t coming across classy on RHOA. In the grand scheme of things, she feels that she’s coming off a bit arrogant and childish through her interaction with the other cast mates just two episodes into the season.
But Kenya seems to chalk that up to editing.
She says:
“I am a really sweet person and 20 years in the business you don’t get anywhere being nasty. There’s a lot left up to editing and that’s something that I can’t control. People don’t change their colors overnight. That’s one of the biggest fears I had in doing a reality show that you’re not being portrayed the way you really are. I was disappointed when I watched the footage as well, although I think I was portrayed better in the second episode. You’re only two episodes in and my journey is my journey with these girls and you have to watch. The show has 18 episodes and if you prematurely judge from what you see then you would be remiss. You need to see the entire season play out.”
She also addresses the rumors that suggest she develops a romantic interest in Phaedra Parks’ husband Apollo. In a promotional clip, Moore is seen flirting with Apollo and the clip seemed to indicate that something happens between them. She says:
“Well, that’s the key word that you just said, indicate. I think that that’s what gets, you know, people in trouble. I think you need to watch the show because, you know, when you have a teaser out there, or what most people would consider commercial, you, they’re designed to make you want to tune in. So some things are definitely taken out of context, and let me be the first to say I’m not interested in anybody’s husband. Not Phaedra’s, not anybody else’s. So you can put that on the record.”
LOL right Kenya. She was always a terrible actress anyway, so I won’t take this seriously.
She’s clearly acting how she feels she needs to act for ratings. I don’t know why she thought RHOA was worth the blow to her image.
Oh please. They all blame it on bad editing, but they definitely give the producers something to work with (edit). She acts a fool on the show and they put that on camera. Can’t blame no one but herself.

Kenya is really coming off as a crazy woman on RHOA and its not because of bad editing either.
Bad editing? No honey, you just have a bad attitude. At least on camera. And the way she keeps throwing that old a– pageant in people’s faces, I can’t take her seriously right now.
I like Kenya however she does need to tone it down a lil bit.

I don’t think the paycheck is big enough for her to looks as stupid as she looks on the show.
Bish is gorgeous but is in her 40s and has never been married. I think she is actually who we see on the cameras. And that explains everything. If she is always talking about how she won Miss USA now and she won in 1993, I can imagine how annoying she is to men.
I’m not sure I believe her on the Apollo thing. They definitely looked like they were flirting. Am I the only one who thinks he and Phaedra’s marriage seems…fake? There’s no passion between them.
She’s just not likeable to me. I really think they should have kept Sheree and Marlo. Both of them were way more entertaining and funny to me. Sheree is delusional as hell, but she has one liners for days! And Marlo with NeNe was genius. I just don’t think Kenya and that Porsha girl (is that her name?) are going to do it for me.
Marlo said the F word (and Executive Andy Cohen is gay), she ain’t coming back.
Marlo would put Kenya’s delusional butt in check real quick, or make her quit the show.

Well reality tv is usually fake, so she could putting on an act for the show. Unfortunately for her, the damage from this show will still be done.

I think she has a very bad attitude and come on get over yourself and your pageant from 1993!!! She thinks that she is someone so important. Lady you won miss USA almost 2 decades ago… It’s not the editing, it’s her bad attitude and behavior.. She is such a bad example..
