New York Times best-seller author Karrine Steffans, better known by the Hip Hop industry as Superhead, has been a controversial figure in the industry since she penned her first tell all best seller which was based on her video vixen days. Ever since she revealed her past affairs with some of rap’s biggest artists, she’s been perceived as trouble for just about any male artist who has managed to achieve some kind of success in the music industry. After achieving success as a writer, Steffans has been making the headlines more recently for her interesting relationships, faulty marriages, and that rather mysterious relationships she’s managed to have with Young Money founder Lil Wayne. Not to mention the recent rumors she eventually shut down on Twitter that claimed she would be joining the cast of Basketball Wives LA.
It’s been speculated for the last year that Lil Wayne is engaged to be married to his low key lady love Dhea, however, their relationship hasn’t been without it’s controversy, as it has been rumored several times that the two have called it quits, with one incident being cited from some alleged groupie behavior.
Despite Lil Wayne’s rumored romance and engagement to Dhea, it appears that Superhead has maintained her romantic and “close bond” with the rapper. And in a recent interview with Vibe Vixen, the author reveals that as twisted as their relationship can be, she still finds herself very much in love and in frequent contact with Lil Wayne.
According to Steffans, she and Lil Wayne were romantically involved despite her being a married woman and him being an engaged man. She says:
“We were together up until a couple of months ago, while I’m still married to my second husband, while I’m still in Vegas with Lil Wayne. All this is going on at the same time.”
Superhead also dished about her failed and disastrous marriage to Family Matters star Darius McCrary. Although the two divorced and she remarried she admits that she only got married to her current husband to end things completely with McCrary:
“My first husband [Darius McCrary] and I were good friends for like eight years before we started dating, then we got married and that marriage was tumultuous. It ended in divorce but we were still living together after our divorce, then all of a sudden I up and married someone last year unbeknownst to [Darius], just so I could end that relationship. The person that I’m married to now, I don’t even know this person. It was really just for show… It was very difficult to break those ties. But that didn’t even work because my first husband came back.I can’t shake Darius to save my f***ing life. Wayne has been in my life this whole time.”
When asked about what her current relationship status is now with Lil Wayne, Steffans says their relationship is indestructible and she could not be without him:
“Wayne and I have kept a relationship through my two husbands, his three kids, three additional baby mamas, three of his albums, three of my books, three of his arrests, one year in prison and three engagements on his part. We are indestructible and I find it fascinating. I’m in constant contact with this person every day, every other day. He is a part of my being. I’m not me without him. He makes me very happy, [but] I couldn’t be with Wayne. I couldn’t live Wayne’s life… That relationship is everything to me, but it’s not what people think it is. It’s not sexual and it’s not financial. It is very spiritual and he’s like my battery pack. When I’m down, when I’m in a really rough space, he always pulls me out of that and he has no idea what he’s done for me.”
If Lil Wayne is said to be engaged to Dhea, so we’re pretty sure she’s not going to be too thrilled about learning that Superhead is still in constant contact with her fiance.
Meanwhile, rapper Lil Wayne just made it clear in a recent interview that he was excited about getting re-married in the near future.
Is this real love or he wanting some attention for a new book? She always has hidden motives for everything she says and does. Too bad these men can’t see that.
