Tyra Banks may have had a great career as a certified supermodel, business woman, and television powerhouse; but recently, the former model made it clear in an interview that she feels like she still has much more to accomplish. And although she enjoys television, and contributing to the world of fashion, she eels like the ultimate success would be a husband and children. But now in her 40s, Banks is concerned that she doesn’t have  a whole lot of time yet to make those last two things happen in her life. Although there are rumors that she is dating one of her fellow judges on America’s Next Top Model, Tyra claims she is single and not dating anyone. She did admit she is not into dating younger men, despite the rumors that suggest she’s the typical celebrity cougar.

The former modeling beauty got real and opened up about wanting to have kids again in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar. She covers the magazine’s January issue, and admits that she’d be very disappointed if motherhood doesn’t happen for her. Despite all the accomplishments she’s had, she still believes that a life with kids is a life with a greater purpose.

She says:

“I want to have kids and I think it needs to happen very soon. I feel like I was born to be the experiment of the definition of beauty and to be a mother. It’s something I have to do. I won’t be happy if I’m not a mother.”

  1. It’s sad that women can have all these accomplishments like an education, own a business, fame, etc. and they still don’t feel accomplished until they get married and have kids. Smh!
