Michelle Williams should have had simply an amazing night after she wrapped up her performance with Beyonce and Kelly Rowland for the halftime Super Bowl show. But unfortunately for Michelle, a positive moment turned into a controversy thanks to a rather snide tweet by Keyshia Cole. Keyshia took to her Twitter account to shade Michelle’s performance, and suggested that the singer is a weak performer compared to Beyonce and Kelly. Although Keyshia immediately got handled in her mentions, there were still many people who shared the same sentiments, and had no qualms expressing it on Twitter and all of the other popular social networks.

Although Keyshia has refused to make any apologies to Michelle and even claims Michelle started some kind of beef between them with previous comments, Michelle has opted to take the high road and didn’t respond to Keyshia with a catty comeback. Instead, she told Billboard that she was just happy to be a part of Beyonce’s big moment, and despite what people may think, she genuinely loves Beyonce and enjoyed herself. And basically, she doesn’t care what people think about her or her performance.

She says:

“Oh the Super Bowl was beautiful! When three good girlfriends are together, you’re free and you don’t care who’s around; you’re just trying to catch up and be goofy. I had a blast. People at home watching… they don’t catch the moments where, like in the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ pose, I was smiling. We were all smiling. I was laughing with my girls. I don’t care what anybody else says. I don’t let it get me down. It was a beautiful thing.”

Michelle also took to her Facebook account to express that she feels women should be more supportive to one another (we agree wholeheartedly):

“It was an honor to share the stage with my sisters Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé on Sunday night. To all my ladies, we must learn to stick together and support each other. The incredible Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson did an amazing job too! Thank you to my sister Beyonce for sharing your moment with Destiny’s Child. Love you!”

Classy indeed.

  1. That’s a very good response to everyone who had something negative to say. It’s never worth it to stoop to someone’s level when they haven’t even achieved all the things you have. Keyshia will never perform at the SB, nor will she ever be more than the bootleg version of Mary J. Blige because she has a very nasty attitude.

  2. Keyshia won’t stop until she gets blacklisted. I know she’s turned me off from being a fan with her nasty attitude to her husband on their show and on Twitter.

  3. Keyshia Cole will always be a ghetto bird and Michelle will always have more class and more success than her. Nothing to see here folks.

  4. Michelle did keep it classy but I agree with Keyshia about her performance. Everyone has their own opinion but I never thought Michelle measured up to Beyonce or Kelly. She just can’t sing.

  5. I think Michelle’s heart and soul is truly in Gospel so no she doesn’t booty pop and dance with the same conviction as Bey or Kelly.

  6. To keep it real Michelle has a VERY nice voice…. I compared her and Keyshia Cole live singing and I see why Michelle is more successful, try having Keyshia sing live on Broadway, y’all know damn well she would be ridiculed!

    1. I wanna know how is Michelle more successful than @KeyshiaCole, are you a dumb broad…i mean really, how many albums does Michelle have? How many shows has she sold out’? Even better, when have you purchased a ticket to go to a Michelle concert? yea i didnt think so, because you havent, Keyshia is more successful than Michelle and always has been, and she is #DaTRUTH….IM sure there is more to this beef than we all know
