Porsha Stewart and Kordell’s divorce has clearly placed Porsha in the forefront as far as relevancy is concerned since the split has pretty much made headlines everywhere. Although the estranged couple is still living together and it’s speculated that their stint on Real Housewives of Atlanta played a role in their marriage issues, Porsha still admits she’s shocked by the turn of events. Of course it makes sense that she’d still be shocked by things considering she found out Kordell had filed for divorce via Twitter, and even though Kordell has made it clear that he now wants to work things out with Porsha, she doesn’t seem to have any desire to reconcile at the moment. Kordell’s sudden change of heart now has some people thinking the filing was nothing but a publicity stunt pulled by the couple to remain on the reality show, but we’re not sure how that could be possible considering that it’s been confirmed by several sources before the divorce that all of the housewives were getting invited back next season and getting raises in their salaries because season five pulled in its highest ever in ratings. Either way, Porsha’s spokesperson decided to set the record straight and tells Hip Hollywood the rumors just aren’t true:

“That’s absolutely ridiculous. Given everything this abrupt filing has put her through in the public, she would never bring something like this on herself, ESPECIALLY with them having a child in the house. She wishes things could have been different but that simply is not possible.”

  1. Why would Kordell fake looking a douche bag to stay on a show he didn’t even like being on? That doesn’t make any sense.

  2. Seriously? Getting a divorce not only embarrassed Porsha but it embarrassed Kordell. Why would they do that to stay on a show that pretty much caused a lot of their issues?

  3. Well Kenya faked an entire relationship and breakup so if Porsha did fake her divorce, what’s the problem?

  4. People resort to thinking things are stunts because “reality tv” is attention-seeking. I didn’t necessarily think this divorce was a stunt, but the thing to take into consideration is that these people don’t care about what’s “embarrassing” or whatever…… These are all people either trying to make a name for themselves or trying to reclaim their fame. For drama to happen when shows are about to air or when people are looking to be reinvented back to a show for another season, I think it’s quite realistic to consider how much of this is real and pose the question as to whether stunts are being pulled. I believe about a good 10% of what is shown on those shows and the rest is viewed as entertainment. Period. As with any other movie or television series, reality shows have plots and story lines. To think that reality tv is any different is…..well. *shrug*
