More Miguel leg drop news. R&B singer Miguel is probably wishing he never leg dropped a fan during his performance at the Billboard Music Awards. Not only has the incident placed him as a target of lots of humiliation via Twitter and memes promoting the signature Hulk Hogan wrestling move he performed on a female fan standing in the front row, but he may also get slapped by a lawsuit considering the young woman might have suffered from brain damage. And if things couldn’t get more interesting, TMZ reported recently that sources close to the producers of the award show claim they actually warned Miguel against jumping during his set. However, Miguel’s camp is now telling the media that report isn’t true, and he got no warning whatsoever against making the jump. US Weekly reports:

“The reports claiming that Miguel was warned by producers not to jump are completely false.

“A number of attempts were made to reach Khyati and her lawyer after the performance to see how she was doing and whether any assistance could be offered. Khyati’s well-being has been and continues to be of the utmost concern to Miguel.”

Miguel also admitted recently he did think the whole incident was funny, but it appears he’s grown tired of the numerous reports surrounding the leg drop. He also took to his Twitter account the other day to possibly downplay the possibility of him being slapped with a lawsuit. Either way, the victim’s lawyer claims a suit could be filed next week once test results come in and prove brain damage is a factor.

  1. Doesn’t matter if he was warned or not. He shouldn’t have done it. I’m sure he was caught up in the moment, but he should have known he is too clumsy to make something like that work.

  2. I don’t feel bad for this guy at all. He wanted to call out black people for being too judgmental, well I hope he gets sued. How do you disrespect the one group of people that got you to the billboard music awards? White people weren’t checking for him!

    1. I understand you’re upset about what he said, but you’re kind of proving him right by hoping something bad happens to him. LOL.
