The Empire Just Keeps Growing: Jay-Z to Ink Multimillion Deal with Samsung?

Jay-Z is the ultimate rapper turned business man. Just a few weeks after launching the sports division to Roc Nation (and nabbing top athletes easily already), it now appears Beyonce’s husband is all set to add even more millions to his already close to a billion dollar empire. It’s being speculated Jay-Z is just inches away from signing on to a multimillion deal with Samsung. Although nothing has been confirmed or denied just yet, reports are suggesting the deal will give Jay-Z an avenue to stream his music and the music of his big time artists like Rihanna on the company’s devices. Here’s the report from the New York Post:

Jay-Z is about to ink a hugely lucrative deal with Samsung Mobile, sources tell Page Six. The contract is said to be worth as much as $20 million. One source said, “The eight-figure deal will be inked in the next few weeks, and is the biggest of its kind. You can speculate that he’ll want to develop some kind of new music-streaming service to promote his acts and music on mobile devices.”

The deal couldn’t come at a better time for the Carters considering all the power moves the couple has made in the last couple of months alone. Recently, Beyonce inked a $50 million deal with Pepsi, and her world tour has been going so well tickets have been hard to come across for fans. And of course Jay-Z’s Roc Nation sports is off to a strong smart, despite the recent investigation into his recent signing of New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith.
