Kelly Rowland talks about Beyonce and her critics in a new interview? R&B singer Kelly Rowland just dropped a new album, and the first week sales for “Talk A Good Game” were pretty weak, sparking more debate on just what Kelly needs to do strategically to ensure that she will become a big solo star just like other former Destiny’s Child star Beyonce. Kelly’s latest album was a very raw one, which featured tracks like “Dirty Laundry” which pretty much gave Kelly a platform to open up a little more about her personal struggles and give her fans a closer glimpse into her private life. Despite being a little more personal, the album still isn’t doing so well commercially. This of course has her critics once again taking to social media insisting she will never be on Beyonce’s level. But Kelly claimed in a recent interview with the Russ Parr Morning Show that she doesn’t want to be on Beyonce’s level anyway. When asked why Beyonce chooses to release new music when Kelly does, she says:
“The rest of the world makes it all like that. And I’m not really…I don’t focus on that kind of stuff. And the funny thing is, if it wasn’t Bey, wouldn’t it be Ciara? If it wasn’t Ciara, it would be Rihanna. If it wasn’t Rihanna it would be someone else. But because it’s my sister and we’ve grown up together and people just put the two and two together and they’re like, ‘Oh it’s competition.’ But that’s not it. Aren’t we all competing against everybody?
“It’s not about achieving her level but achieving my own. So many people were like, ‘When you gon’ do this like Bey?’ When you’re in a relationship and somebody’s comparing you and your sister as well, you’re hearing it all the time. That to you starts to sound like a normal thing when it’s not. The world would be boring if we all did the same thing over and over again. That’s what makes life, and friendship and experiences so interesting because we all have different ones. And I don’t want to be on her (Beyonce’s) level. I want my own. And Michelle wants her own. When people compare, it’s just so insane to me.”
She should want to be on Bey’s level…Rihanna’s…etc. Selling 60,000 albums the first week is not a level I would want to be on. Just sayin…

I get what she’s saying but she should want to be a huge star. It’s like she likes being on this mediocre level. And once again she is still talking about Beyonce. When will it stop?
She needs a new team period. She keeps picking lackluster songs and her albums won’t sell until she finds a new sound.

This is why Kelly continues to fail. What does she mean she doesn’t want to be on Beyonce’s level? She should want to be even better! She isn’t competitive and she doesn’t have the drive required to be a big star. She won’t get a new team, she won’t get better songs, and she won’t do what it takes to get out of Beyonce’s shadow. Instead, she keeps talking about her in every single interview she does. Does Bey talk about her in her interviews? Of course not. Kelly needs to learn how to play the game and stop getting played all the time.

Kelly needs to just hang it up. She doesn’t have what it takes and clearly by this interview it’s by choice.
Can you all just take a min a shut up. While I realize she needs to do more, y’all need to do more also. She just released a Solid Album with Solid Promo. What did that result in? How many of you twerps got the album? Take a seat. Y’all just assume it’s a cup of tea to make it in the entertainment industry, why don’t you get up and try it.

Kelly’s a very great artist, people just won’t support her because their minds r possesed by Beyonce.
kelly said she want to do action films or play a super hero. i can see her doing this. my wish is someone do a remake of christy love and cast kelly. she resembles teresa graves anyway. i think she caqn pull it off and also maybe cleopatra jones. i really like kelly.
