Evelyn Lozada quits Basketball Wives? Reality television star Evelyn Lozada quickly rose to fame after she showed people she was “about that life” on “Basketball Wives.” However, she became one of the targets of the boycott and petition that resulted from season four of the VH1 reality show. Evelyn has always been an in your face kind of personality on the show, but people were outraged after she actually threw a wine bottle at Kenya Bell’s head during an argument. Although the show survived the boycott and the loss of some major sponsors, the ratings are struggling in its fifth season.
Evelyn’s personal life also took a massive hit after season four, as her new marriage to Chad Johnson came crumbling down just a couple of months in. Chad and Evelyn got into a heated argument in the car after she discovered he had been cheating on her, and she says the argument led to the retired football player head butting her. Evelyn went to the hospital to be treated for the injuries, but plenty of people found it hard to believe she was not the initial aggressor because of how she’s acted on “Basketball Wives.” Even an appearance on “Iyanla: Fix My Life” hasn’t been able to erase critics’ perception of her.
Perhaps that’s why Evelyn is now ready to walk away from the show. In a recent interview with HuffPost Live, Evelyn says she doesn’t plan on doing another season of the show and her contract only specified that she would do 5 seasons. She says:
“As far as future seasons, I signed on to do 5 seasons and this is our fifth. I don’t really see me doing a sixth season.”
Evelyn then goes on to say that she isn’t sure if she would do a spinoff, but she knows she could if she wanted to because she carried “Basketball Wives”:
“I don’t know. I’m open to doing a spinoff, just not with a cast of women.”
“I’m in a different space. I have so much other things going on, I had my own show before and unfortunately it was cancelled due to the incident but I know I can carry my own show. I pretty much carried this one, so I feel like we’ll see.”

Well Shaunie is so arrogant she thinks she can just go out and hire some more puppets to keep this ship from sinking. But the truth is people are tired of the show. It doesn’t even matter who’s on it anymore.
Just end the show already. And no Evelyn, you did not carry the show. You just made a fool out of yourself and some people found that entertaining at YOUR expense.
Evelyn cannot carry a show. She has such a boring personality she had to start fighting to get more camera time.
