Lamar Odom has been a staple in the headlines ever since TMZ and other outlets made the bold claim that the professional athlete is battling substance abuse and it was also alleged that the issue was the true wedge that came between his marriage to Khloe Kardashian. Despite three women stepping forward and claiming they had an affair with Lamar while he was married to Khloe, those close to the Kardashians claimed Khloe was more concerned with his alleged addiction, and she was the only one fighting for their marriage. Since the story first broke, it’s been several reports claiming the reality star is just about over fighting for her marriage, and some suspect she could file for divorce any day now.
Lamar has been pretty silent on the accusations except for his denial of having a drug problem to a paparazzi, but it appears his family members have had just about enough of the reports and Lamar’s own dad recently spoke out and slammed Khloe and her family for what’s been going on with the professional athlete. Joe Odom tells Heat Magazine:
“They [the Kardashians] brought him down. He would be better off without them. I think the best thing for him would be to have a clean break and divorce Khloe.
“She’s been talking trash about my son, saying he’s on drugs and stuff like that. I don’t think she cares about Lamar, she just cares about their image and money.”
Joe goes on to say that he wishes Lamar never married Khloe and he then takes shots at the Kardashian family:
“I wish he had never got married to Khloe. She’s controlling. Those Kardashian women all are. “In public she’s nice, but if you see her personally you see the real person. The mother’s like that, too. I heard Kim said they don’t have crackheads in their family. That p*ssed me off. Look at where she came from. We don’t want p*rno stars in our family.”
Lamar Odom has always been open about his father’s struggles with drugs and the NBA Free Agent claims his dad is addicted to heroin and his grandmother actually raised him.
Is this man really blaming the Kardashian for why his grown a-s son decided to do drugs? Really? SMH.

He went in! Oh well, Lamar made the choice to be with Khloe and join her fam. At the end of the day, he needs help. That’s all that matters at this point.

This is sad. If Lamar was doing drugs before Khloe, she can’t necessarily be blamed for why he’s an addict. I read somewhere that a lot of the times the kids of addicts end up on drugs themselves. So he may not want to point fingers.
I bet he hasn’t even talked to Lamar in years his damn self.

I agree with some of the things he said, but he’s probably not even on good terms with Lamar himself.
He needs to sit his a-s down somewhere. He was probably high when he gave this interview.
SMH. He needs to be quiet and reach out and help his son. Is he even clean now?

He sounds like he has a lot of anger for the Kardashians. But it’s probably not a good time for finger pointing, Lamar needs help. So his family needs to put the issues to the side and remember what’s more important right now. It’s not about getting press or extending 15 minutes right now. I wish they would get that.
