Celebrities might enjoy the perks and luxuries of fame, but these days we’re seeing more and more that they may not be taking advantage of the benefits that come with fame considering there’s an epidemic of them getting slapped with DUI charges versus just hiring drivers. Comedian Kevin Hart got lucky recently after he escaped prison time and instead was told by the judge to do community service because it’s the first time he’s ever been charged with DUI. But now R&B singer Miguel will also learn his fate, as the Grammy winning singer recently got pulled over by police for driving around in Los Angeles with excessively dark tinted windows, and eventually failed the sobriety tests the cops asked him to take.

As we reported recently, Miguel was arrested for DUI on August 15 and TMZ broke the story:

According to the website, Miguel was arrested early Thursday morning for allegedly driving drunk in Los Angeles. Sources claim the police originally pulled him over for speeding and driving around with tinted windows. However, officers noticed the singer reeked of alcohol, and Miguel was asked to perform a series of sobriety tests he ended up failing. He also took a breathalyzer and blew a .10 and a .11. The legal limit in California is .08.

TMZ is now reporting that the R&B singer has been charged with DUI and he’s set to appear in court next week to learn his fate involving the matter. Interestingly enough, the very vocal singer hasn’t said anything on the incident and neither has anyone in his camp.

  1. Miguel has gotten the big head. Hopefully he will calm it down some and stay out of trouble. His career just popped off.

  2. Miguel is probably just counting down the days until the year is over. It’s been non stop losing for him in 2013.
