2 Chainz bodyguard fired for running away during robbery? Rapper 2 Chainz dealt with several weeks of drama after getting robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco, California while walking the streets of the city with his crew. However, it wasn’t the act of getting robbed that caused the rapper to catch a lot of flak but it was his denial of getting robbed at all. 2 Chainz eventually got to the point where he couldn’t deny getting robbed after video footage of him and his crew, including his bodyguard, running away from the robbers went viral. Once police officers confirmed the robbery did indeed take place and people peeped the footage, 2 Chainz became the target of jokes on Instagram and Twitter for weeks. The rapper has addressed criticism over the robbery several times in interviews and even defended his move of running away from the robbers. People wondered though what the fate of 2 Chainz’s bodyguard was after the incident seeing as though he too ran away from the robbers when everything went down.
In an interview he did with VLAD TV, 2 Chainz spoke on the robbery incident and confirms he had to let his bodyguard go over how he handled the situation in San Francisco:
“He’s not my bodyguard anymore. I didn’t hear his interview. I don’t know what happened. I don’t have anything negative to say. Coming from where I come from, it’s certain instincts that you have. It’s certain reflexes that you have, and I can’t expect everyone… You know, they have fire drills in school. But then they don’t tell you what happens if it’s a real fire in the school. They don’t expect people to line up, and stop, drop and roll. So for the experiences that I went through besides San Francisco, the experiences that I go through in life period. It ain’t no rehearsal for it. And so, I can’t expect everybody to know what to do, how to move, how to do certain things, because it’s different habitats…I pretty much think I’ve moved on. It was two guys. It was guns. I didn’t lose a chain. I lost a piece of ID. And I think I’m fine…I didn’t get hurt. I didn’t get shot. I did a show the same day. “

LOL. This whole situation is still funny to me. Poor 2 Chainz.
Yeah his bodyguard really dropped the ball. But 2 Chainz also needs to be more careful of his surroundings. When your name is 2 Chainz, most likely street dudes are going to be looking for you.
He just wants someone to protect him.That’s all.
