Drake’s latest album “Nothing Was the Same” may be slaying the charts and may able be just a couple of weeks away from being certified platinum, but his tour “Would You Like A Tour?” is starting off with lots of problems. For one, Drake reportedly clashed with fellow rapper Future, and that became a huge issue considering Future signed on to be one of the Young Money Records star’s opening acts. According to reports, Drake was furious over Future’s recent comments about his new album, and he demanded to have the Atlanta rapper kicked off the tour as a result. Future threatened to file a lawsuit and eventually both camps were able to squash the beef and Future got an invite to rejoin the tour. However, Drake is having more issues and he had to cancel his Philadelphia show.

The concert at the Wells Fargo Center was cancelled just an hour before the show was supposed to start, and Drake’s reps claim it was due to “technical issues.” However, doors had already opened and fans began making their way to their seats before an announcement was made.  The craziest thing though is R&B singer Miguel found out about the show’s cancellation around the same time the fans did.

For some reason that can’t be explained, Miguel did not get an advance notice that the show wouldn’t go on despite being one of Drake’s opening acts. SheKnows reports that the singer took it all in great stride and it’s also being reported that he decided to put on an impromptu show at a local lounge (Ortlieb’s Lounge) in Philly for his fans.

This of course has folks whispering that Drake’s latest concert is becoming some what of a mess and even his fans have taken to social media to slam the rapper for canceling the show an hour before it was set to start.

The Philadelphia show will be rescheduled for a later date.

  1. LOL oh man. I’ma need Drake to get this tour sorted out. How do you cancel a show already and the tour just started?

    1. VERY sloppy. I had some friends who had tickets and they were pissed. He ruined their whole weekend because they adjusted their scheduled for a show that didn’t happen.

  2. Smh get it together Drake. I’d be pissed if I was sitting in my seat waiting for the show to start only to get sent home. Celebrities tend to forget that it’s not just about their schedule. There were thousands of other schedules that he interfered with…

    1. Thank you. It’s so rude to me when they cancel like that and Drake actually cancelled like an hour before the show was supposed to start. That is ridiculous.

  3. What the hell is going on with this tour? Is Drake and his camp really dropping the ball like that? They need to get it together.

  4. This is one of the reasons I haven’t gone to a concert in years. I just hop and skip my way to YouTube. #shrugs

  5. That was very inconsiderate, they should have made sure Miguel knew as soon as they decided not to do the show.

  6. All artists were supposed to get a notification about the show being cancelled as soon as the decision was reached. They should have gotten the notification before the general public did. Drake’s camp is really messing up. And it’s a shame too because his album is doing so well. I hope he doesn’t disappoint too many of his fans.
