Not everyone is thrilled about Beyonce’s more sexual image, so the superstar singer has been called all kinds of whores and sluts since she dropped her self-titled album. Beyonce said early on that she wasn’t going to let the opinions about her more sexual openness bother her any because she is doing what she wants and being a grown woman, but we can only imagine that the latest bit of slander she’s getting from the media might have her feeling some type of way.

A New York Post writer by the name of Naomi Schaefer Riley wrote in a recent column that she thinks Jay Z is a “poor excuse” for a husband for “allowing” his wife to perform so seductively at the Grammys. She writes:

What do you call a man who stands there smiling and singing as his scantily clad wife straddles a chair and shakes her rear end for other men’s titillation?

I’m certain if I look through enough Jay Z song titles, I’ll come up with the right name for his role in Beyoncé’s performance at the Grammy Awards Sunday night. Rhymes with Goodyear. . . ? Well, how about I just call him a poor excuse for a husband.

For years, these award ceremonies have pushed the envelope; Beyoncé’s booty-shaking was certainly no worse than Miley Cyrus’s twerking or any number of other performances by Madonna, for instance. But there’s something particularly icky about doing it while your husband looks on approvingly.

And then there’s THIS part:

Well, for one thing, the happy couple have invited audiences to admire their adorable family, with dad even joking about his daughter’s sippy cups when he accepted an award on Sunday. So they’re suggesting to audiences that this kind of public sexual behavior is compatible with a loving modern marriage.

Surprisingly, the BeyHive isn’t the only group of folks heated. Numerous feminists and readers of the article took to Twitter to question why the writer would have such a strong opinion about someone’s marriage based off one performance. Naomi pretty much got dragged all across Twitter from all sides (read tweets from top to bottom):

post writer dragged

post writer dragged 2

post writer dragged 3

Naomi Schaefer Riley is no stranger to writing controversial articles. She was actually fired from the Chronicle of Higher Education when she boldly wrote that Black Studies should be eliminated from all universities. We’re assuming the New York Post figured she would be perfect for expanding their diverse range of offensive opinionated pieces so they offered her a job not too long after her firing.

As of now, she’s still getting dragged on Twitter and it looks like the BeyHive has officially made their presence known in her mentions.

But what do you think about the article?

  1. Bey keeps these pathetic and miserable people pressed. You can’t judge someone else’s marriage by a freaking performance. But she’s always been a judgmental and racist idiot from what I gather from her older articles. And her husband is the typical self hating black man who loves the republican party and fox news. Losers.

  2. So let me get this straight…a white female twerks on someone else’s husband and this woman remained silent. But a black woman dances with her husband in a damn one piece and she’s the hoe? LMBO. The agenda is clear.

  3. WTF? I just don’t get it. I just don’t. How does a performance translate to being a bad husband. I have heard it all I swear.

  4. I honestly think Beyonce prepared herself for this kind of backlash. She’s exhibiting a personality of giving no f-cks now and I love it. The crazy thing is when she was less sexual, she still got dragged and called a tramp for what she did on stage. So why keep trying to please the same folks who will tear you down anyway? Keep doing you Bey.

  5. Well if I’m going to use this dumb woman’s logic, I can say that her husband is a poor excuse for a husband for allowing her to keep writing this ignorant, judgmental and racist drivel. It’s so bad that she’s lost jobs. Yet, he sits back and does nothing. He’s a terrible husband.

  6. Why is this woman so hateful and miserable? Is she not getting attention from her husband? Is the sex not good? Is she jealous this black man has demonstrated more love for his wife in public than her husband has ever shown her? You can read this and sense that this woman is not happy in her own life. Sad.

  7. Bey is a married woman, in her 30s and at a point of her career that she can do whatever she wants. And it has a lot of people pressed. LOL.

  8. I’m pretty sure Jay didn’t mind because he’s secure enough to know that Bey is just being an entertainer and she’s just coming home to him when it’s over so…LOL.

  9. Great. Another stupid woman who thinks women are objects who shouldn’t do anything but what their husbands tell them to. What an idiot.

  10. I can’t. Sigh…and this is why the BeyHive goes so hard for Bey. Because of hateful and stupid people like this who just want to tear her and her family down.

  11. I just lost some of my brain cells reading all of that ignorance. And then on top of that, she has terrible grammar! Does she not know or remember from her Journalism studies that “couple” is singular in the eyes of the English language, so the correct verb to use is actually “is” and not “are” though? And that’s not the only mistake in that article. Dimwit.

  12. As dumb as people like to say Bey is, she’s actually very smart and genius. Because people are so stupid, they are making one of her worst performances memorable and iconic. This happened Sunday and everyone is still talking about it. But she’s the dumb one, right? Smh.

  13. I swear Beyonce’s haters keep her on top. It’s the strangest thing. The more they bash her, the more attention and relevancy she has and the more albums she sells without an official promotional campaign. I love it.

  14. LOL Bey and Jay got these racist white folks PISSED! They can’t stand to see a black couple win like this constantly. Oh well. They can have a seat with the rest of the bitter and pressed haters.

  15. This was so uncalled for. These personal attacks are not cool. If you didn’t like the performance, cool! But calling Bey a whore and Jay Z a bad husband is wrong and so unethical. Smh.

  16. This woman continues to put so much evil and negativity into the world with her articles. She is going to get it all back ten fold in her own life. Trust.

  17. I can’t even stand Jay-Z but this was just way too much. We don’t know these people to make these kinds of comments. Just say you don’t like the music and keep it moving.

  18. I think people fail to realize this is Beyonce’s JOB. No one gives actors/actresses this much grief if they bear skin, kiss, participate in sex scenes, etc in a film or on a tv show. Who they are on stage is not who they are in real life. I understand that everyone may not like Beyonce as an artist, but with things like this, they’re really reaching. And for what?!

    1. I agree! And how can a woman who is being sexy with her husband be a whore? This country is full of bitter and miserable people and it shows!
