R&B singer and actor Tyrese is in the middle of a nasty child support and custody battle with his former wife Norma Gibson.
The other day Norma told TMZ that she called the cops to her house because she wanted to make sure things would be peaceful when she denied Tyrese from seeing their daughter Shayla recently. According to Norma, Shayla was sick at the time and she didn’t think it would be wise for her to leave to be in her father’s care while ill.
Tyrese isn’t buying it and he’s asking the judge to throw her in jail for violating the custody order.
And now his camp is telling US Weekly that Norma was actually the one who has been calling TMZ to update them about their drama and the actor feels she’s trying to ruin his image in the media. They also claim that it was actually Tyrese who called the cops to the scene:
“Norma Gibson, Tyrese’s ex-wife, denied him a court custodial order with their daughter Shayla on Feb. 11, 2014,” the rep said in a statement to Us. “Tyrese arrived to pick up Shayla and was denied access by her mother. Mr. Gibson called the police to the scene, and Mrs. Gibson called TMZ.”
The rep noted that Gibson’s problems with his ex have been going on for some time. “Sadly, this is not the first time this has happened,” the rep said. “This has been an ongoing saga.”
This is such a sad situation to me. And I do think his wife is not innocent in all of this. Hopefully they can come to some kind of peaceful resolution.
I believe him.
I do think she calls TMZ because they always sound so anti Tyrese in their articles.

You can never let your hate for you ex get in the way of your love for your child. No matter how nasty things have gotten with Tyrese, Norma has to remember he is still the father of her child. She has to let him be a father.
This is sad that they can’t work things out amicably. Also while Tyrese giving out all this advice he needs to focus on his own problems.
I hope she remembers that you reap what you sew!
SMH. I wish these two would just get it together. This is so unnecessary.

Why can’t grown people stop letting their bitterness interfere with co-parenting?
If this is true this woman needs to be thrown in jail. Too often the system is used to protect mothers and tear down fathers. It’s not fair. If Tyrese would have done this he would have been put in jail.
Sad!
This is why men need to know who they are sleeping with. IDK why both men and women give men a pass to sleep around. When ish like this happens everyone starts pointing fingers. MORAL OF THE STORY STOP TRYING TO HIT RAW smh
