Floyd Mayweather has a perfect record in boxing, but his track record with women hasn’t been so successful. In fact, his baby mama Josie Harris accused him of getting violent with her and he was even jailed not too long ago for domestic abuse.
Then of course he angered many when he posted to Instagram that the reason his romance to Shantel Jackson ended was because she terminated her pregnancy behind his back.
Nonetheless, Floyd still has a message to send to women and he thinks his advice is needed. He posted the following to Instagram the other day and the responses were mixed:
Is he really going to tell women what to wear when he’s decked out in a Louis Vuitton head to toe like a jacka-s?

A few years ago I had this mindset but now I feel like no one should treat someone based off something so superficial like what they are wearing. The Trayvon Martin situation shows how dangerous that can be.

I hate that a lot of men try to find excuses for why they don’t respect women. A real woman gives a woman respect regardless of what she has on.
In a way he kinda has a point but he is the last person to be giving out advice. He dates the kinda women he described so what does that say about him. As I scratch my head I’m just wondering how are you trying to give advice to women when you are incapable of being faithful to a woman.
I think men should respect women because it’s the right thing to do. This sounds a lot like victim blaming in rape cases.

I actually came here from a newssite and was shocked how some women can hate men in general like that. Try to see what a man who has a normal life (also including: man/woman being same) thinks when reading these. You honestly think that this kind of talk is going to solve the problem? Targeting a large group who actually doesn’t do anything but because they are men yeah they are rapist, killers, murderers. Isn’t that what you are fighting for? Not having the word women being combined with weak, oversensitive, dependant, … .
Start targeting one person for their mistake and not a general group. And if you want to fight men/women equalities, don’t fight it as feminism but as a humanism-concept. Fight both inequalities and make both feel appreciated. I can promise you if you pioneer that, you’le have all the support in the world and equality will come way faster. Dividing in groups of feminism and masculism just creates hate that shouldn’t be there.

I’m a man and I disagree with this completely. My father raised me to give all women respect regardless of how they act or dress. I open doors, pull out chairs…all of that. I can’t even think of a good excuse for why a woman should be disrespected. I just wasn’t raised that way. I am accountable for how I treat a woman. I was raised to be a man and have a man outlook on life. Floyd’s personal life choices demonstrate that he is confused about what manhood is about. To me, this is how boys think. But to each it’s own. I just plan to raise my sons to not have Floyd’s mentality.
