Drake pulled a Beyonce last night by surprising his fans by releasing a new mixtape with no heads up, and “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,” is already causing quite the stir considering Drake took some shots at Tyga in his new music.
On “6PM in New York,” Drizzy rapped about Tyga’s beef worthy comments about him in his interview with Vibe Magazine, and he also poked fun at Tyga’s rumored romance with 17-year-old Kylie Jenner.
He raps:
“I heard the lil lil homie talking reckless in Vibe,
“It’s quite a platform you chose, you should have kept it inside,
“Oh you tried,
“It’s so childish calling my name on the world’s stage,
“You need to act your age and not your girl’s age.”
When Tyga got word of the diss, he tweeted the following before deleting it (read tweets from top to bottom):

Drake has a good point though. Tyga could have used that Vibe interview to promote himself but he decided to talk about Drake, Nicki and Blac Chyna instead. He also degraded black women in that interview too. That interview only did damage to his career. I think at this point all he can eat off of is collaborations with Chris Brown.
Kind of off topic but not really…. but I’m wondering how well this album will do in sales. When I heard it dropped I went straight to Spotify and it was there. Not a smart move on their part.
Well now they count streams as sales, so it should actually help him. Since they have started doing that, all artists are seeing a little bump in their numbers. But Drake is probably not tripping about it since this isn’t a studio album.
He’ll have big first week numbers when he drops his real album later this year.
I’m thinking at least 600,000 first week sales.
He’s going to go gold in a few days.
