“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes shocked plenty of folks when she told PEOPLE Magazine she is walking away from the hit reality show after seven seasons, but now sources claim the producers are trying their hardest to keep NeNe around even if she won’t agree to full-time status.
TMZ writes:
NeNe Leakes isn’t done with “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” … TMZ has learned producers want her to come back in a reduced role, and she’s game.
Our sources say, although NeNe made it seem she was gone for good, the show’s producers are still angling to have her appear periodically during the season.
As we reported, NeNe bailed on the show because the money wasn’t right. She’s already committed to doing a primetime network sitcom, and the only way she’d continue on ‘RHOA’ was if they delivered a wheelbarrow full of cash … to make the crushing workload worthwhile.
But our sources say NeNe is open to a part-time role on ‘RHOA,’ again if the money is right and it fits with her sitcom schedule.

Well because she can. That’s what happens when you put an entire show on your shoulders for seven seasons. If she still gets a big check and isn’t even holding a peach, she really won the war between her and Kenya. She’s pretty much showing everyone she is still the number one person on the show and can remain as such without holding a peach.
Now you know you the HBIC when they’re willing to pay you to be a “friend of”! Nobody on that show except the regular cast gets a paycheck! Gwan Mrs. Leakes!!!
Now this is real clout. Nene left and they still want her back. Kenya was trying to be shady on Twitter but she needs to figure out why Bravo ain’t buying her queen title outside of winning Miss Universe.

Is this supposed to make us watch season 8 because I don’t think seeing glances of Nene is enough for me to watch next season.
Sis I feel you. If she’s not holding a peach, it’s no point in me trying to watch.
Nene is playing chess for real. Sis is about to still get a fat check out of RHOA without even having to be there most of the time, and has that new show with Kim too. She’s very smart when it comes to making money.
I’m starting to feel like all of this is just as clever way of Nene flexing her muscle. Well played Ms. Leakes!
Andy already said on Twitter he wants her back so she may just do it. It’s a win win for her because she gets a check and doesn’t even have to deal with the other ladies that much anymore. Add that to the show with Kim, the deal she has with Kim K’s new video game, a new sitcom coming out this fall, the fashion businesses she has, and that beast of a manager she has, Nene is set for a long time. I know her haters are so sick right now.

NeNe is such a hustler. I can’t even knock her for this.
They better hope she agrees because the show won’t survive without her. Ratings were already down because of Claudia so the timing of this isn’t good.

Watch Kenya try to pull some sh-t like this with her contract negotiations and get shut the hell down. Lol!

Clearly Nene did this to get what she wanted all along, a check with less work. People like to call her uneducated, but she’s the only one who knows how to play the game.
