Actor Will Smith is getting plenty of buzz and recognition for his latest film, “Concussion,” and although he’s highly regarded as one of the best in the business by many, he can admit he felt inadequate in his first role on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
Since he was one of the only actors in the cast with no background in theatrical training, Will felt the need to work harder than everyone else.

He didn’t have the experience but he worked hard to become one of the best actors on the show. That’s admirable.
Love him! He came a long way.
Good for him that he went in and took it seriously instead of acting like an entitled rapper with a little fame under his belt.
He acted his butt off in that episode about his father. I always tear up at the end.
This just proves hard work pays off.
I’ve always said Will, Denzel and Sam are the GOATS. These young black actors have some big shoes to fill.
