Comedian Kevin Hart is easily the most visible with his string of movies and successful comedy tours, but not all of his fans feel like he’s living up to his potential.

In fact, one fan in particular thinks Kevin needs to step it up immediately if he wants to be taken seriously.

  1. I thought this was going to be another bash Kevin Hart session, but the writer makes some very good points.

  2. Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it won’t. Everybody’s journey to the top is different and his journey is doing just fine.

  3. I actually agree. Kevin does hold himself back. The only movie I liked of his is the first Ride Along. But he plays the same roles every movie and it’s getting old. He needs to challenge himself.

  4. Eddie Murphy just took things to another level that was unheard of for comedians. He peeped the Hollywood game and outplayed everyone else. I’m not sure another comedian can do that. Will and Jamie come very close, but can Kevin actually become a great actor like that? I don’t know. LOL.

  5. I can’t disagree with any of this. Kevin is very successful but when you think about comedians before him, it’s like he hasn’t really made his mark yet. Eddie Murphy was the man. Dave, Martin, Will, and I agree Jamie is doing his thing too. Jamie actually has an Oscar and can be the star of a movie easily. I think Kevin should take some acting classes.

  6. I think he’s funny but back in 2011, he got over exposed. His jokes are all the same and his character is always this basic dude with short man syndrome and that ends up prevailing at the end of the movie. It’s just the same thing. I used to be a major fan but I had watched three different stand ups from different years and in all of them he mentioned the same joke about his kids and their “family unit”. I couldn’t even watch the movie with Will Ferrell for a second time because it was so corny.

  7. I think Kevin needs to start putting out better movies number one. He also needs to try to play a different character for once. He is always the short, annoying jerk in his movies. He can’t get better as an actor or comedian if he keeps playing the same characters over and over.

  8. I tell my hubby the same thing a the time. Eddie made some classics and unforgettable movies that can be watched decades later (my son loves golden child) You don’t get that same experience from Kevin Hart movie
