RHOA Recap: Kenya + Phaedra Have Yet Another Showdown Despite Second Attempt at Friendship

Kenya and Phaedra are still giving friendship another go.

They play a little tennis but Phaedra reveals in a confessional that she doesn’t want to tell Kenya’s her business because she still doesn’t trust her.

Peter is having a hard time adjusting to the separation.

Peter and Cynthia grab a bite to eat on his birthday.

Cynthia reminds Peter that this will be their last vacation together as a married couple, and Peter admits that it’s been tough for him. In fact, he almost called her in the middle of the night for a hook up.

“Yeah I was going to call you in the middle of the night last night.” – Peter

Cynthia admits that she would consider hooking up with Peter under the right circumstances.

Peter gets a little emotional and says he feels like a failure. But Cynthia opens up and confesses that she feels like she could have done better in the marriage.

“I think I was a good friend to you, but I don’t think I’m a good wife to you.”

Peter is relieved to know that Cynthia has the same regrets he does.

Todd throws Peter a roast for his birthday.

Todd decides it will be a great idea to have a roasting “party” for Peter in which everyone will roast Peter in a jokingly matter. Things get a little awkward when Phaedra and Porsha show up.

With Sheree and Bob in attendance, the ladies ask Sheree how she’s feeling but she doesn’t want to talk about her issues with Bob.

“To be honest, I don’t feel like talking about this with the men around.” – Sheree to the group

Peter is actually surprised that no one roasted him that bad.

When Cynthia gets on the stage to roast, she struggles to come up with anything. So she leaves the stage without roasting him.

Although the roast wasn’t really that much of a roast, Peter is happy he went on the trip because it’s probably the last one he will ever take with the group.

Kenya decides to plan a Divorce Party for Phaedra and Cynthia.

Kenya thinks it would be a good idea to throw a divorce party for Phaedra and Cynthia. Since the vibes in Hawaii are finally somewhat positive, she wants it to be fun and light-hearted.

Sheree and Bob clash again.

Bob asks Sheree why she left him at jewelry store and she tells him she’s mad because he doesn’t act like he has remorse for the bad things he’s done.

“There’s no other woman that affects me the way you do. I’m trying to come back from this.” – Bob to Sheree

Sheree cries and tells Bob that it’s important for her to learn how to take care of herself because he has let her down so many times.

“I guess we stay separate.” – Bob to Sheree

The Divorce Party goes left.

Cynthia arrives to the party and nearly cries. She says she didn’t want a divorce party but appreciates Kenya’s efforts.

“I’m not wifey material. I like being together with someone but I don’t want to be married.” – Cynthia

When Phaedra arrives, she states that she feels sick and she’s not thrilled to be there.

Phaedra is over it because she feels the ladies are being immature with all their s*x pun party games. She claims she’s sick and in need of ginger ale, and leaves.

Kenya questions if Phaedra is really sick and Porsha vouches for her bestie.

Phaedra then texts Porsha and tells her she didn’t want to be there because she feels it’s disgusting to be at a divorce party thrown by a woman who behaved inappropriately with Apollo while they were married.

She’s also upset because she thinks people are celebrating the breaking up of a family.

“Really Phaedra, after everything we been through you want to put me back to some bullsh*t.” – Kenya

Kenya confronts Phaedra.

Phaedra tells Kenya that she just thinks the party was tacky.

Kenya calls her out for the text message she sent Porsha.

“Do you blame me for your marriage breaking up?” – Kenya to Phaedra

Phaedra feels like Kenya was disrespectful to her marriage, but Kenya thinks Phaedra and Apollo had way bigger issues.

Kenya calls Phaedra out for creating a restoration service but refusing to forgive her over the Apollo thing.

“The only thing she has restored in me is showing he how shady she is.” – Kenya

Kenya leaves and updates the other ladies on her heated conversation with Phaedra. Porsha tries to defend Phaedra, and says the party stings because her divorce from Apollo was just finalized a week ago. The others had no idea it was finalized, so they feel Phaedra shouldn’t have reacted the way she did.

    1. Kenya’s phoniness is displayed every season because she is always in fake relationships and lying about her plastic surgery, so what’s the difference?

    2. I so agree! Phaedra use to be one of my favs! I overlooked her fake ness but the last couple seasons I can’t with her, I never ever agree with Kenya but she wasn’t throwing that party out of spite or trying to be facetious. The party was suppose to be about moving on to another chapter. Kenya already admitted she was wrong for the stuff with Apollo so why bring it up? If she was uncomfortable she could have pulled kenya to the side instead of calling her trifling ,And we all know the divorce isn’t finalized b/c she used fake names and it had to be done over again. Phaedra is nobody’s friend, she has none b/c she’s so fake. Even nene tweeted last nite you can’t win when u play dirty, she tried it with me, I told y’all. I’m almost positive that was for shady phae phae,

  1. Now I haven’t been happy with how Phaedra has been doing Porsha but is Kenya serious right now? She is the last person who can call anyone a fraud. She actually started the trend of people faking storylines on this show. And she was inappropriate with Apollo. People, especially Phaedra, don’t have to forget that.

  2. Dumb episode. Kenya is not a victim. She had no problem twerking on Apollo and asking him and Phaedra for a thr–some. I wouldn’t want her to throw me a divorce party either after all that.

  3. Kenya is so annoying because she always conveniently forgets about all the dirty sh-t she’s done in the past. And when she is called out for it, she plays victim. I don’t understand why she’s still on the show.

  4. How do you think it’s appropriate to throw a divorce party for the woman who’s husband you flirted with, even after she asked you not to. And then play victim when said woman gets upset and remembers why she was never friends with your trifling a-s in the first damn place.

  5. This is why Phaedra shouldn’t have tried to be cool with Kenya in the first place. If someone disrespected you in the past and you ain’t willing to forget that sh-t, then why even try to be cool in the first got damn place? Just don’t f-ck with them and call it a day.

  6. I’m usually team Phaedra and I can’t stand Kenya’s a-s, but Phaedra is wrong in this instance. I can see how Phaedra would feel sometime away about the party but she didn’t have to go to town on Kenya the way she did. This is really hard for me to admit-cause like I said I can’t stand the b-tch-but I don’t think Kenya was being shady. I thought she was genuinely trying to do something nice for her and Cynthia. And if Phae had a problem with it she should of put her big girl panties on and pulled Kenya to the side and talk to her like a grown a-s woman! I’m said because this episode really has me side eyeing the hell outta Phaedra!

  7. Now I know how malicious and messy Kenya usually is, but I can’t even say she was trying to be messy with the divorce party. Phaedra overreacted, in my opinion. She’s still my girl but she’s having a really bad season.

  8. I think Kenya does too much to be liked. She likes to call everyone her BFF. That right there sends a signal of low self esteem, needing to be liked and lonliness. She just gravitates to people putting them in categories that they are not willing to be in with her.

  9. Phaedra is done. Porsha has smartened up, Nene is now Team Kenya and Kandi is done. There’s no point in her even returning next season.
