‘Daytime Divas’ Recap: Maxine Shuts Down Mo’s Big Plan + Nina Reveals Major News

The ladies discuss Maxine’s health on the show.

Maxine is now out of her concussion, but she still hasn’t notified anyone.

The other ladies on the show offer their well wishes and do tributes but Maxine sees right through it. She continues to plot for revenge.

“My empty chair is getting huge ratings, which reminds me to get Mo’s fat a*s out of it.” – Maxine

After it’s rumored that the network is considering getting Tyra Banks or Michelle Obama to take her place, Maxine pops back up on the show and surprises everyone.

She takes her chair back from Mo but not without kicking her on the sly first.

After they wrap up filming for the day, Maxine lets Kibby know she’s planning to get even with the other women for plotting to take her chair.

Nina and Shawn still clash over her not leaving her husband.

Since her husband is running for office, Nina doesn’t think it’s a good idea to leave her husband for Shawn. She tells him to be patient and give her time to figure things out.

“I’ll be patient but we need a plan.” – Shawn

Kibby feels guilty about doing drugs while Maxine was in a coma.

Kibby regrets her actions while Maxine was in a coma and feels she should tell her she did drugs and nearly got locked up.

Her girlfriend tells her she only made those choices because she was stressed out and worried about Maxine, so there’s no need to tell her.

Maxine gets good news about ratings.

The network producer, Jason, tells Maxine that they want to keep ratings high. He tells her he wants to talk strategy, but she tells him she’s not in the mood and needs more rest.

Mo asks him if Maxine seems different to him and tells him she’s concerned about Maxine carrying the show.

So she suggests they force Maxine to take a break to recover, while the rest of the ladies pick up the slack.

The producer isn’t sold but Mo tries to help her cause by mixing up the cue cards which leaves Maxine asking Justin Timberlake questions to an actual doctor.

Shawn tells Mo to meet him in his office.

He demands that Leon is fired after the cue card fiasco but Mo tells him he’s blackmailing her so that can’t happen.

Maxine then tells him she’s sure Mo told Leon to change the cue cards.

He’s not convinced with his mother’s theory and thinks it’s a good idea for Maxine to take a little time off.

Kibby walks in on Nina puking.

Kibby thinks Nina has an eating disorder because she’s struggled with it before, but Nina hints that she’s pregnant.

“I don’t want anyone to know about this yet…I haven’t even told Andrew…” – Nina

Heather is having problems in her marriage.

Since she’s so busy with her multiple projects, she forgets about her husband’s new endorsement deal. He feels like she doesn’t care about his career and he’s just about over it.

They face off and she warns him to be careful because people at work are starting to notice the bruises.

Kibby meets with her mother and warns her to do better with her little sister Tandy.

Her mother is outraged but Kibby reminds her that she was taking care of her when she was 12.

Kibby wants custody but her mother scoffs and leaves the restaurant reminding her that she has a probation officer.

Nina flips the script.

Nina tells her husband that she wants to get a sperm donor and have a baby. Her husband agrees because a baby will be a good look for his political career.

He doesn’t find Nina’s idea odd since a doctor recently told them that the likelihood of her getting pregnant is very low.

Kibby walks in on her girlfriend cheating on her.

When Kibby walks back in from her failed meeting with her mother, she finds her girlfriend in bed with a man. She angrily leaves.

Nina tells Shawn she’s pregnant.

While trying to convince her to finally leave her husband, Nina reveals that she’s pregnant. Shawn is speechless and unsure of what to do.

Mo tells Maxine her plan.

Mo informs Maxine that she knows her medical history and she took a photograph of it while she was in a coma. She plans on sharing that information with the media since most don’t know she’s had so much work done.

If Maxine doesn’t back off and give up her seat, Mo is willing to expose that her medical scare actually happened while she was prepping for plastic surgery.

Maxine comes clean.

After being threatened by Mo, Maxine spills her on tea on the show.

She goes the sympathetic route, and says that the pressures of looking young made her get plastic surgery over the years.

She thanks God that she was spared from more unnecessary surgery and promises to be an advocate for other self conscious women.

The audience cheers for her as she and she appears brave and honest.

For now, Jason says Maxine’s seat is safe. Mo feels defeated.

Leon pitches Mo an idea she can’t refuse.

He suggests Mo does a show in which she drives around town and does street interviews,. She scoffs at first but then realizes it’s a good idea. They then do it in her car once again.

Heather and her husband’s secret is revealed.

Turns out, Heather and her husband hit each other with a paddle as they read scriptures from the Bible anytime one of them screws up in the marriage.

This is the cause of Heather’s bruises.

Maxine has a secret boo, a mystery woman starts digging.

After a long day at work, Maxine hooks up with her doorman.

At the end of the episode, a mystery woman shows up to Maxine’s condo, and ask the man at the front desk if she can ask a few questions for $300. He takes the cash.
