Ayana Fite & Brandon Barnes Quit GUHHATL

During a recent Instagram Live session, Ayana Fite got real with her followers and explained why she hated the editing of the first season of GUHHATL.

She hated it so bad that she has no plans to do a second season:

“They probably are going to have a season two. I don’t think I’ma be there but there’s going to be a season two.”

One of the main reasons she’s unhappy with the show is due to how her relationship with Amy was portrayed:

“Yes, I definitely regret showing my relationship on the show. I think that it is poorly edited like a motherf*cker. It really just looks like Amy treats me like sh*t. And I think that’s f*cked up because she really is the biggest sweetheart to me. So if I had known that…I watch reality shows all the time. I didn’t know that they could edit something to be the way they want it to be. And if I had known that, I wouldn’t have put my relationship on the show because I think it’s f*cked up how they portray her. Y’all Amy don’t even watch the show anymore. She’s just like over everybody.

“The relationship with Amy and my dad is just fine. The night of that dinner, it was heavily edited. That was like really the first time Amy met my dad. I’m so disappointed in that scene because they begged me, the producers begged me not to let Amy meet my father over the holiday break that they had because they wanted the first time Amy met my dad to be on TV. I agreed to that sh*t and they had a great dinner. I literally was on the verge of tears at that dinner at one point because it went so well. And on TV, it looks like they hated each other. And my parents love Amy.”

When asked again if she would return for season two, she says:

“Probably not.”

Ayana is also not happy that Shaniah didn’t get much screen time:

“Because they don’t want to see a black woman with a good head on her shoulders. They want to see f*cking nonsense. Shaniah is going to school to be a f*cking pediatrician. And they could have shown plenty of that. Shaniah is beautiful. She is level headed. I don’t understand why they don’t show more of Shaniah either. That’s f*cked up.

She also made it clear that she has no issues with Reginae Carter:

“Me and Reginae were never not cool. That’s editing. I don’t have no problem with Reginae.”

Looks like Brandon Barnes is done with the show too:

    1. True but the editing has been poor. When the whole cast is complaining, you know the producers need to rethink things.

  1. The editing has been horrible though. I understand why they are frustrated. But if they were smart, they’d threaten to quit in exchange for more money and better editing.

  2. What? No! I like them both! And truth be told, Brandon really did bring it. He’s a natural for reality television.

  3. I don’t want Ayana to quit but I think the Amy thing is the real reason she’s pissed. I won’t lie, I thought Amy was a trash girlfriend too. The editing just made her seem that way.

  4. WE tv better make some phone calls because I don’t think these two will be the only ones quitting.

  5. Brandon and Reginae pretty much carried the show and Ayana is the most likable. So I’m sure the network will do whatever it takes to change their minds. Just give it some time.

  6. If I’m being honest, the show has pretty much focused on Bow Wow. If it wasn’t about him than it was about the nonsense and shenanigans between Brandon and Reginae. So, I can honestly see why Shaniah felt slighted. I’m actually surprised bc she is Jermaine’s daughter so, I’d have thought she would’ve been treated better since Jermaine gave him his start.

  7. @Guest2 Bow Wow is a producer but not the showrunmer so he’s really has no say in the show. This Is all on Georgia Peach Prouctions.
