Kenya Moore Says Being Told She Can’t Keep a Man Took a Toll on Her

It’s almost common knowledge now that Kenya Moore is a newlywed. “Real Housewives of Atlanta” fans were shocked when photos were revealed of the ceremony almost a month ago.

Since then, people immediately began wonder if the marriage is real. Well, Kenya Moore has slowly been dropping hints that things are real, including talking to People Magazine, and revealing more wedding photos.

Since the news was revealed, there have been rumors that she’s been at odds with RHOA producers for the secrecy.

Some sources even claimed that Kenya was fired from the show, but she shut down the rumors recently on social media.

This past weekend, Kenya Moore went to New Orleans for the Essence Festival. During the three-day event, Kenya sat down with Essence to explain why she got married.

She also admitted that all the digs about being single did start to get under her skin.

She said the following:

It has been the most blissful time of my life. A little scary, but it’s been blissful at the same time.

My husband is extremely supportive, he is always encouraging me. He’s my rock. He’s my protector. And, I thought it would never happen to me.

You know, you’ve seen me go through so many things on the show where I really felt in my quiet moments… That is it true what they’re saying? I can’t keep a man? I can’t find someone to really love me for me? Is it ever going to happen? I mean I’m a 46-year-old woman, and I’m a black woman…Statistics show that over 44 percent of black women never get married, and that’s a real fact.

So for me, I just kept the faith and just kept hoping and it just happened for me in a way I never expected it to. So it had to be God.

For me, I wanted a real chance at having a real relationship that can stand the test of time. I didn’t want to have an Instagram relationship. I didn’t want everyone to be in the middle and criticizing whether or not it’s real or I paid somebody. You know the silly rumors they say about me at times.

I just wanted to… for it to be flushed out. If it’s real, it will survive and we don’t need to be public for us to have a relationship.

I didn’t feel the need to serve the public. I just wanted a chance to have a chance of really being in love.

  1. So does Kenya ever consider all the nasty things she’s said to people and if it took a toll on them or not? Never mind, she prefers to play victim and never acknowledge the dirt she’s done.

  2. I think people said she can’t keep a man because they didn’t realize that her past few were just paid employees. They didn’t realize that Matt was a paid arrangement gone wrong. This marriage is most likely a sham also. LOL.

  3. Kenya is confusing me. She said she wants to keep her marriage away from the spotlight but she keeps doing interviews about it and even revealed her hubby’s name on her Instagram. Sis even posted pictures. So how is she keeping it away from the spotlight?

  4. Yea w/e….I still think she married a African or Caribbean man to get him a green card….so we gon see how her arrangement…I mean marriage will work out

  5. How can u get married without dating cut it out Kenya!! If someone was dating Kenya long enough to give thoughts on marrying her she would have pasted it all over the blogs she has no filter so go have a seat Kenya and get another story line
