Georgia Official Calls for Criminal Investigation of R. Kelly

R. Kelly was hoping that the latest accusations would lose steam but now it looks like things are actually picking up.

According to a new report, a Georgia official is calling for the R&B singer to be investigated amid claims that he’s taken women from their families and forced them to stop communicating with loved ones.

The AJC writes:

Fulton County Chairman John Eaves is calling for a criminal investigation of Grammy-winning R&B singer R. Kelly, citing new evidence uncovered by Johns Creek police around allegations the 50-year-old held women against their will in a north Fulton County house.

Friday’s announcement stems from a BuzzFeed story in July which alleged that Kelly “held women against their will in a cult” at a house he was renting in Johns Creek. The story cited several named and unnamed sources who the author says were close to Kelly.

Eaves, who is running for mayor of Atlanta, is holding a press conference Friday morning to explain why he is demanding an investigation.

“A detailed local investigation by the John Creek Police Department has provided key information that we believe is enough evidence that gives the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office all it needs to advance a criminal investigation of the well-known allegations,” Eaves said in a statement ahead of the press conference.

  1. Smh. I can’t believe he’s doing this craziness. Doesn’t he have a daughter himself? I wonder how he would feel if someone were to hold his daughter captive. He’s just so disgusting.

  2. R Kelly is sick. I can’t believe there are so many black people still defending him trying to pretend this is some kind of conspiracy. This man been a monster.

  3. Frfr and this is the reason why his oldest daughter is a lesbo, she sees how he values women and it’s somethin about this old man that creeps me out. I bet he used to keep “young singers” in the studio down in the basement all the time.
