Mo’Nique Calls Out Kevin Hart’s Critics Amid Cheating Scandal

Mo’Nique and her husband hosted their weekly podcast this week via Periscope. During this week’s episode, they both came to the defense of Kevin Hart.

They first explained that the woman Kevin slept with was wrong for coming forward, and should’ve known her place.

Monique said:

Now, I’m passionate about it because what happens is we always wanna hold celebrities to this higher standard.

[Now] Kevin Hart is my baby. That is my baby. I am so proud of him. I am proud of his accomplishments. I’m proud of that brother’s fight; what he’s done. But let’s have a real conversation.

See, when you’ve hit rock star status…because I’m speaking from experience…

When you’re a fat girl, you don’t think you could have your pick of the litter. You’ll just have the “You like me, then n***a, I like you too.”

But when rock star status hit, this fat girl had her pick of the litter. There were times where I had f*** d***, and I had forever d***. You gotta know the difference.

The guys that were f*** dick, they knew…what this is. For my sisters out there, you know what it is. So what bothers me, is when you start seeing people on their radio shows, on the TV, with all of this judgment.

And then you see Kevin Hart and his beautiful wife out having lunch…

Let me tell you something, when you are forever p****, when you are forever d***, when you are in a forever relationship, you don’t let d*** and p**** tear you apart.

Then, to take the cake, Mo’Nique told a story of how she met the sons of a Nigerian king who passed away. Each son had multiple wives.

Mo’Nique equated this story to Kevin’s cheating scandal by saying that it’s only a big deal to the black community because we’ve become too comfortable with Western European customs, forgetting where we come from.

We’ve gotten so conditioned into western ways. That’s where we come from. When they say, “It takes a village,” that’s what they mean.

But we’ll get stuck and caught up in, “Oh my goodness. He f***ed someone who isn’t their husband/wife; That’s going against God.”

What God? What principles?

  1. Why is it when people like MoNique bring up Africa they never bring up the fact that some tribes and kingdoms were run by women? They only talk about the tribes where men have multiple wives. I guess the whole truth doesn’t fit their narrative.

  2. It’s a damn shame that some black women have such low standards in life. But I don’t expect anything less from Mo’Nique.

  3. The thing is this isn’t the first wife Kevin has cheated on. So why should we be sympathetic? He deserved the public draggings he’s been getting. He honestly isn’t cut out for marriage. He should just be single and sleep around as much as he likes. I don’t understand why people who hate monogamy are the first ones to sign up for marriage. That’s not logical.

  4. This woman is a disgrace to all blk women across the world. I can’t believe someone was stupid enough to marry her dumb a-s!! As far as her feeling that she was a big star….. lmao

  5. She bores me with that fat girl lingo, she makes it sound like it is a way of life and it is for those who choose to be fat. Nobody has to just be fat. she could have changed that part of herself anytime so, I don’t wanna hear no rants about basically fat girls have to take left over men, I don’t believe that either. I’ve seen beautiful people with dogs. To each his own.
