Black Ink Crew Chicago Recap: Kat Comes Clean to Rachel + Rachel & Ryan Attack Producers

Velvet is escorted out.

After Velvet tries to run up on Nikki after they argue over Velvet twerking in Phor’s face, Cobra takes her outside and asks her to make things right with Nikki.

This is important to Cobra because she just got back in the good graces with everyone in the shop.

Velvet goes back to apologize to Nikki but they end up arguing again after Velvet once again denies twerking on Phor.

Security separates them and Velvet is escorted out of the house.

“Dusty a*s hoe.” – Nikki

This upsets Cobra because she doesn’t want the group to cut her off.

However, Charmaine and the others remind her that they are family regardless of who she dates.

They all hug her.

Velvet later leaves and Cobra has no idea where she went.

Later on, Charmaine proposes that they all have a beach day but Lily says she will take the time to see her little sisters instead.

“ I FaceTimed them the other day, and literally I couldn’t believe how big they are.” – Lily

She starts crying and the others console her.

“I just want them to know they have somebody who gives a f*ck about them.” – Lily

Terrence arrives.

Daniel’s boo Terrence arrives to the house and she’s happy to see him.

This shows her that he’s ready to move on from his beef with Ryan.

Kat is annoyed because Danielle was the only reason she came and now that Terrence is in town, she’s going to be on her own while everyone else is coupled up with the exception of Don.

Back in Chicago, Ashley’s brother Rondell is staying at the house to look after her while Don is away.

She’s not making it easy for him thanks to her constant cravings.

She tells him she’s nervous because she hasn’t felt the baby move in the last eight hours.

Kat is ready to go and Phor tells Cobra the truth about Velvet.

Now that Danelle has ditched her, it’s really getting uncomfortable for Kat to still be around Ryan and Rachel. She’s about ready to go back home.

Velvet strolls back in and lets Cobra know she’s alright and Phor thinks it’s a bad idea for Velvet to be at the house.

Later on, he pulls Cobra to the side and he says he doesn’t think Velvet is a good person because she hit on him at the strip club a week ago.

“If I really wanted to f*ck, I could have gotten the p*ssy.” – Phor

He also tells Cobra that Velvet said they are not in a relationship.

Cobra says she’s shocked and she feels like she’s been used.

“I think you need to cut her off. You’ll be better without her.” – Phor

Cobra agrees and Velvet walks in. Phor leaves them alone to talk.

Cobra tells Velvet that it’s not a good idea for them to date or for her to remain at the house.

After Velvet questions why she’s had a change of heart, Cobra tells her about what Phor said.

Velvet says she doesn’t think it’s that serious and leaves.

Cobra is saddened that things didn’t work out with Velvet. She’s also hurt that Velvet didn’t seem to think her actions in the club with Phor were inappropriate, which is a huge red flag to Cobra.

Kat attempts to talk to Rachel.

They make small talk about being in Cabo and how they haven’t seen each other in a long time.

Before she can tell her about Ryan, Charmaine and the other cause ruckus in the pool.

“I feel like the universe is just conspiring against me right now.” – Kat

Lily has regrets, and makes things right with JR.

Now that the dust has settled, Lily regrets how she’s been treating JR.

She decides to talk to him about it.

“I just wanted to say I’m sorry.” – Lily

“Are you? For what?” – JR

“Yes. For coming at you yesterday. I just had a lot going on and in a way, I just took it out on you and I wasn’t trying to do that.” – Lily

She explains that she’s nervous about seeing her sisters because her family has made it hard for her to have a relationship with them.

He says he understands and he accepts her apology.

He also tells her he still has her back.

Lily invites him to go with her to visit her sisters and he accepts.

They hug it out.

Ashley wants to update Don on her current scare, he doesn’t answer his phone.

After the baby continues not to move, she decides to call Don and see what he thinks she needs to do.

She calls twice and gets the voicemail both times.

This frustrates Ashley because she needs him to be there for her.

Her brother Rondell tells her that they need to do something like go see the doctor but Ashley insists on just being taken to their mother’s house instead.

Lily’s plans to see her sister are ruined by a family member.

On the way to see her sisters, Lily tells JR she’s grateful he came with her because she’s extremely nervous.

She kisses him and gets a phone call from her aunt who tells her that she can’t see her sisters even though she’s minutes away from the airport.

Lily tells JR that her aunt won’t tell her why she can’t see her sisters, and she thinks it’s because her aunt is upset that Lily has been talking about what happened with the cartel on the show.

She starts crying.

In a green screen interview, she says she just wants to be there for her sisters but feels like her aunt just won’t allow it.

JR consoles her.

Phor clashes with Nikki, Kat finally gets her conversation with Rachel.

For their last night in Cabo, the group heads to the beach at Charmaine’s request.

Kat says she’s uncomfortable still because Ryan hasn’t said anything to her at all since she’s been in Cabo.

Phor surprises Nikki by asking her to move in with him.

She’s happy about this and lets him know she was going to make a copy of his key regardless.

Phor says she’s missing the point and she says they have technically been living together already.

This annoys Phor, and leads to an argument.

“Why are you getting loud with me when I’m telling you good news?” – Phor

They start arguing even more and screaming at each other in front of the group.

Minutes later, Don checks on Phor. Phor tells hm that he’s frustrated that Nikki just couldn’t be happy about them officially living together.

When the food comes out, Ryan notices that the chef placed the steak on the plate with shellfish, which he’s allergic to.

He gets frustrated before the chef can bring out more food and walks away.

Kat decides to use this time to tell Rachel what’s been going on between her and Ryan.

She tells Rachel that Ryan told her he has feelings for her last summer and it was around the time that he got back together with Rachel.

She says she distanced herself from him but they hooked up at the lake house when she came back to Chicago.

At this point, Ryan starts walking back towards the group.

The group gets nervous.

“It’s just a f*cked up situation.” – Kat

When he gets back, he asks Kat what’s going on. He immediately gets defensive and angry with Kat.

“We’re not doing this sh*t.” – Ryan

Ryan then takes Rachel by the hand and starts walking away, angrily.

He tells the group he’s leaving and Kat tells him he needs to be honest with himself.

After he walks away with Rachel, Charmaine takes Kat to the side and asks her what she said to Rachel.

“I told her everything.” – Kat

Charmaine and Kat agree that Rachel was very calm.

Interestingly enough, after they say this, Rachel is then heard going off on the production staff. In particular, they are furious with Rasheed, who happens to be one of the main producers. Ryan joins her in screaming at Rasheed and they start throwing things at the producers. Ryan tries to swing on Rasheed but misses after production staff prevents him from making physical contact.

The group feels like Ryan and Rachel are out of line and the couple then storms off claiming they feel production set them up.

In a green screen interview, Kat says Ryan can blame the producers if he wants, but no one forced him to do what he did with her at the lake house.

When the group gets back to the house from a dramatic day at the beach, Don says Ryan needs to come clean and Charmaine pulls Ryan to the side to check him for his actions.

Kat cries and says that she realizes her friendship with Ryan is over.

Charmaine and Danelle try to be there for her but Kat’s emotions can’t be contained.

“That was my friend before anything. I just see what it really is.” – Kat

Ryan walks out and asks for a cab to be called as Kat cries uncontrollably.

Ryan tells production that he’s done with the show.

“I said I quit. It’s over.” – Ryan

  1. Rachel switched up real quick. I didn’t know she had it in her. But she should have went in on Ryan instead of the producer. Ryan is the one out here playing her. You can’t blame the producers for this one.

  2. It kind of seems like Rachel already knew but she was angry that the producers allowed Kat to bring it on the show. I guess they are more concerned with their image as a couple than anything else.

  3. I know I’ve been seeing people call Rachel classy on the gram and Twitter but I don’t see it. If she was so classy, she would not have been acting a dam fool with the producers. They did not force Ryan to sleep with Kat. She’s angry with the wrong person/people.

  4. Kat is messy as hell but Ryan takes the damn cake!!!!! He’s the cause of all of this but he’s really trying to pin it all on the producers. Hilarious!!!!!!!!

  5. Ryan ain’t no good HOWEVER Kat is trifling af too!The only reason she felt she needed to tell Rachel anything was because she felt some type of way about him not giving her any attention, let’s not forget the meltdown she had when Phor started dating Nicky and she did the whole crying in the pool scene last season. I’m not even gonna acknowledged the fact she messed with Van too, If she really felt the need to tell what happened she could have waited till the COUPLES trip was over! Why ruin it for everybody. I bet if she had a guy with her on the trip she would have never done that, she was in her feelings and wanted to start some mess, it had nothing to do with “ I feel bad about being around his family “ girl you knew who his family was before you hooked up with his dirty dog behind. I’m just not here for her sob story cause she just as bad as Ryan

  6. So first of all we gone act like Kat ain’t have a hoop earring in one ear and a stud in the other? Second, every season they talk about how they’re a family and they’re bros and sis but everybody sleeping with everybody ! Every last one of them has slept with at least one person at 9Mag! I’m legit confused at why Rachel got turnt on production and not Ryan?!
