RHOA Recap: Porsha Clashes with Lauren + Gregg Has a Health Scare

Porsha catches up with her sister and her mother.

After the drama with Shamea at her bridal shower, Porsha decides to spend the day with her mother and sister by getting some body wrapping done.

Lauren says she’s happy to be living with Porsha because now they will be able to get more work done for her businesses.

Porsha doesn’t want that to be the case, and she thinks it would be best to try to keep things peaceful at the house by not overworking.

Sheree is planning a 70th birthday party for her mother.

They have decided it will be a 70s themed party, and they are shopping for outfits. Sheree’s children meet them at a boutique, and they all try on wigs and looks for the night.

In a green screen interview, Sheree says they have even hired a party planner to make sure everything goes right.

Cynthia goes on another date.

One of Cynthia’s friends hooked her up with a man named Will.

Cynthia is very attracted to him and they go out for a bite to eat.

Will tells Cynthia he is 41 years old and he tells her he never modeled because he was more interested in the business world.

In a green screen interview, Cynthia says she’s going to take her time and date. It’s new to her but she’s excited.

“I am going to be a dater.” – Cynthia

Cynthia tells Will she’s divorced and he tells her he used to be engaged but things didn’t work out.

“I’m very impressed with Will. He’s the male version of me.” – Cynthia

Cynthia feels a connection with Will and wants to see him again.

NeNe is still in a great place with Gregg. She’s also appreciative of all he does around the house.

Their son Brentt comes out to greet them at the pool and says he’s going out shopping.

NeNe warns him to respond to her text messages or he won’t drive for a week.

Gregg and NeNe discuss the fact that they can’t believe that Brent has graduated from high school and the time just flew by.

Brentt wants to be in the entertainment industry, and a possible actor or comedian.

“He has a lot of you in him.” – Gregg

Kandi, Todd, Carmon and Don Juan have a staff meeting. They take some digs at Porsha.

Don Juan tells them that they have 100 employees that Kandi doesn’t really know personally. Kandi says that the drama with Johnny has her feeling like it would be best not to trust people so easily.

Carmon is leaving to start her own insurance company, so Kandi has to find a new personal assistant.

“But I’ll still be around. Y’all will still need some help for the restaurant. “ – Carmon

Kandi says things have been rocky with Xscape, and the reunion feels a lot like the RHOA drama she’s used to.

She also tells the group that she thinks it’s ridiculous that Kenya didn’t want to reveal her husband’s name.

Don Juan asks if Kenya got a prenup, but Kandi is not sure.

She recaps what went down at the bridal shower and says she didn’t even speak to Porsha.

She feels it’s weird that Porsha isn’t going to Shamea’s wedding because it’s too expensive. They all laugh about the fact that Porsha is claiming to have a medical condition that makes it so she can only travel first class.

Kenya is upset with her dog King because he peed on her wedding dress.

“Don’t look away. Wait until Daddy gets home.” – Kenya

She calls Marc and tries to leave a lengthy voicemail about King’s behavior. She keeps being told that the message is too long because she keeps talking about how happy she is to be with him.

Sheree meets with the party planner.

They are whipping up possible finger foods and she’s telling her planner about the little details she wants executed like all staff wearing afro wigs.

Sheree is starting to stress out about the party and her planner can sense it.

Porsha and Lauren clash.

Porsha and Lauren meet with Porsha’s business consultant Eric.

Her real estate consultant Dale also shows up not too long after Eric.

She tells them she’s always wanted open up a hair salon.

They tell her that there are a lot of hair salons in Atlanta and Porsha says her brand will set it apart from the others.

Neither Eric nor Dale look confident about the idea until Porsha says she wants to bring in a consultant to guide her.

They think it’s a great idea for her to have some good help since she has no experience in running a hair salon.

She wants it up and running in three months but her real estate consultant says she should try to do it in about nine months given some things like getting permits can take months.

Lauren and Porsha get annoyed with each other when they discuss what their roles will be. Porsha just wants to be the owner and have someone run it. While she’s open to hiring someone to run the salon, Lauren wants to be the person to run it.

When Lauren asks Porsha what her role will be, Porsha tells she’s the owner and Lauren says she’s an owner also.

After the meeting wraps up, Lauren later expresses that she didn’t like that Porsha said the salon would be her business and Lauren feels she’s the one who does all the work but her checks don’t reflect that.

Porsha says she’s struggled to create an empire that the both of them would benefit from.

Porsha says she deserves to make the most money because she’s putting her money into the ventures, and Lauren says she’s putting her entire life into their businesses.

After they argue about who sacrifices more, Lauren says she will now only work for the hair company and she won’t work for Porsha any more than that. She angrily leaves the meeting.

“Such a f*cking b*tch.” – Lauren

In a green screen interview, Porsha says it hurts her that Lauren doesn’t feel appreciated.

Cynthia visits NeNe.

NeNe tells Cynthia that Gregg doesn’t feel well so she took him to the hospital.
He was having chest pains and numbness.

Gregg is fearful that he will have a heart attack one day because it runs in his family.

The doctors decided to keep him so they could run some tests. So she’s nervous and hasn’t been able to sleep since she’s worried about Gregg.

Cynthia tells NeNe that her date with Will went well.

NeNe met him and she thinks he’s a very nice guy.

“He is winning points, honey.” – NeNe

NeNe says that although she likes Will, she should still keep her options open.

However, Cynthia says she is still a relationship person, so she’s not comfortable having a booty call.

Sheree’s planner pulls out.

Sheree isn’t happy with where the disco ball has been set up in the house. Since the party is just four hours away, she calls her planner and tells her to come by immediately.

Cynthia stops by Kenya’s place to get ready for Sheree’s mother’s party, and Kenya is rocking afro puffs.

She says that her and Marc make love a lot, and they are enjoying being newlyweds.

Cynthia tells Kenya she really likes Will, and Kenya tells her to take things slow.

In a green screen interview, Cynthia says it’s hypocritical for Kenya to tell her to take things slow when she married Marc so quickly.

Despite this, the ladies share some laughs before they head out to Sheree’s home.

Sheree gets a text message from her planner and she says that she’s not coming because she feels like there’s too much tension between them.

Sheree tells her daughter to get in touch with the planner because she’s about to go off.

She later leaves a voicemail to the planner and starts screaming about it in front of the rest of the staff.

NeNe arrives to Kenya’s place to show off her outfit for the party. Kenya shows off her husband’s part of the closet.

They all dance their way out of Kenya’s place and head to the party.

Sheree calls her mother to see where she is. She pulls it together to make sure the party is a success even though she’s still mad about the planner jumping ship.

Guests start to arrive and Sheree is in a better mood.

Her mother comes in and looks gorgeous.

Sheree is happy she was able to make her mother happy.

Porsha and NeNe pretty much ignore each other but the group has a good time dancing on the dance floor.

They do a soul train line and this helps NeNe get her mind off Gregg’s health for a short time.

At the end of the party, Sheree thanks everyone for coming.

NeNe calls Gregg and he tells her that he is going to get some tests done earlier.

She tries to remain calm although she hears the fear in Gregg’s voice.

She tells him to let the doctors do what they need to do as she drives to the hospital. She’s starting wonder if Gregg is keeping his real health status away from her.

She gets to the hospital and breaks down in tears.

  1. Porsha needs to let Lauren know she appreciates her and vice versa. That’s the only way they will be able to work together without issues.
