Chris Brown might be working on taking the industry by storm with his upcoming album, but he’s also dealing with a storm of trouble when it comes to dealing with his neighbors these days. As we recently reported, numerous of the superstar’s neighbors are heated with Chris because he painted graffiti in front of his house and they claim they are concerned the images will bring down the value of their neighborhood. Although Chris has already been fined for the painting and reportedly asked to remove it from his property, the singer took to his Twitter account to tell his critics that he isn’t removing the graffiti and he’s going to keep painting what he wants to. Interestingly enough, it appears that at least one of Chris’ neighbors isn’t mad about the painting and feels he’s being ganged up on for no reason. The Los Angeles Times reports:

The monsters painted on Chris Brown’s house might scare some children in his Hollywood Hills neighborhood — but not all of them.

“My kids think they’re really cool,” Melissa Harrington said of her 6-year-old twins. “They’re pretty excited about it.”

Harrington, who lives a five-minute walk away from the pop star, called the murals “colorful” and “cute.”

“Look at the paint job on his cars. They’re works of art,” she said. “What style of art are you going to paint on a modern home like that?”

…Harrington noted Brown isn’t the only resident with an unusual paint job.

“Behind our house is a house with pink-and-yellow stripes,” she said. “Chris Brown can see it out of his window if he looks across the canyon. … If you really don’t like the murals, then call in that pink-and-yellow one he has to look at every day.”

“Don’t just persecute the guy,” she said.

Chris Brown may already have enough on his plate as he continues to get through his most recent public split with Rihanna, but he’s still having plenty of neighbor issues as if the breakup isn’t stressful enough. It was recently reported by several media outlets that the R&B singer has come under fire with his neighbors due to the graffiti he painted in front of his home. Although it’s been speculated that he will have to pay a fine and remove the graffiti, his neighbors are telling the media that the singer is a menace to live close to. However, Chris’ attorney Mark Geragos says it’s actually the other way around, and Chris is the one being tortured and “harassed” by his neighbors. The Los Angeles Times reports:

Responding to complaints about the monster art, L.A. city code officials cited Brown for unpermitted and excessive signage and ordered him to remove the art within 30 days. He also faces fines that start at $376 but could rise significantly if he fails to comply.

Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, said the musician is not backing down. He says it’s the neighbors who are harassing Brown.

“I’m scared of neighborhood busybodies like this,” Geragos said. “They’ve called animal control. They have sicced parking [enforcement] on him, and now they reached the heights of ridiculousness here. Shame on them.”

Geragos said the city can expect a legal fight over Brown’s personal artwork, which unwittingly thrust him into one of L.A.’s longest-running civic debates. Although the city has a reputation for being the street mural capital of the world, much of that artwork has been done illicitly.

City ordinances make it illegal to create murals on the vast majority of private properties.

“They are trying to suspend the 1st Amendment,” Geragos said.

R&B singer Chris Brown may have made some changes in her personal life recently as he just confirmed his split from Rihanna, but he’s still finding ways to stay positive despite his recent breakup from the Diamonds singer. In fact, Chris has confirmed on his Twitter account that he’s going to put all of his focus back into his performances, and he’s been releasing new music and performing strongly on the charts with his current hit “Fine China.”  He’s also been showing up to plenty Hollywood events in good spirits, and still finding time to party when he’s not in the studio. The other day, he decided to do something good for his fans and he took a trip to Harlem and almost made Team Breezy burst with excitement when he showed up to a neighborhood basketball court unannounced. E! News reports:

Two days after attending the glamorous 2013 Met Gala in NYC, the 24-year-old “Fine China” singer surprised some local fans by hitting Harlem’s public basketball courts.

“Went back to my hood today! #136th amsterdam ()harlem,” Brown tweeted with a pic of himself surrounded by a group of young fans, who were visibly excited to see the star.

One fan posted a video of Brown, who looked sporty in black basketball shorts and white tank, playing basketball with the caption, “Im watching Chris brown play basket ball!!!!!”

Another shared a shot of Brown high-fiving neighborhood kids with the caption, “Harlem 136th my hood… Balling showing love #luvaboy #ohb.”
