Chad Johnson Says His Marriage to Evelyn Lozada is Meaningless

Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada’s marriage ended in a rather tragic fashion, and most didn’t think everything would come crashing down so quickly due to violence. Last year, just about three months after getting married, the former couple’s marriage came to a screeching halt after Chad head butted Evelyn as a result of an argument over a box of condoms. The incident caused both to lose their spinoff show on VH1, and just days after the network confirmed that their show had been cancelled, Evelyn decided to file for divorce. Chad originally made it public that he wanted Evelyn to take him back, however, after Evelyn began making plenty of press rounds and talking about the situation a little too much for Chad’s liking, he dragged her and her publicist on Twitter for using the situation to keep her in the spotlight. The athlete also accused the reality star of sleeping with other people and supposedly someone in Cash Money to get her book deal. Evelyn clapped back with a Cease and Desist letter, and Chad has been forced to keep her name out of his mouth and off of Twitter. However, he still finds a way to throw shade from time to time without using his ex wife’s name.

The other day Chad was asked by one of his followers if he would ever get married again. Chad held back no punches and told the fan that he doesn’t count the first one. He tweets:

Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson‘s recent tweets have let us know just how they feel about each other at the moment. Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson’s marriage ended last year after the infamous head-butting domestic violence incident occurred between them. However, the drama between the reality TV star and her former football hubby hasn’t slowed down much at all. It was once thought that Chad and Evelyn’s relationship wasn’t completely over, especially since Chad was caught still rocking his wedding ring after everything went down. And the rumors were fueled even more after Chad and Ev got caught holding hands at a dinner party that they showed up to together. Chad and Ev both shut down the rumors of a reunion, Chad said to have his eyes on another woman,yet everything seemed to be all good between them still although they are not a couple again.

That all took a turn this week as Chad Johnson took to his Twitter account and accused Evelyn Lozada of cheating on him while they were together and even claimed that the reason Evelyn got her book deal with Cash Money was because she slept with someone in the camp to get it. Evelyn’s daughter Shaniece wasted no time coming after Chad over the accusations, saying that he was lying on her mother and called him a few choice words before she was done. Evelyn jumped in with a tweet of her own in response to Chad’s rant but now she is taking legal action against him if he keeps running his mouth about her, TMZ reporting that an insider close to Ev revealed to them that Evelyn’s lawyer sent Chad Johnson a cease and desist letter for allegedly spreading lies about her and harassing her on the Internet. And if Chad doesn’t stop, a restraining order will be Ev’s next move.

Chad Johnson is due in court this coming Monday for a hearing to end his probation early according to the website.

Just when you thought the drama between Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada was over, the former couple decides to have a Twitter beef. After filing for divorce following an argument gone wrong (which resulted in a head butt) over a box of condoms; it seemed like Chad and Evelyn was at least being cordial. Chad even acted like he wanted to get Evelyn back and revealed he wanted to reconcile in his recent interviews, and then they made a public appearance together, which caused the media to question if they were working on rekindling their romance. Evelyn even got into a few Twitter beefs with Chad’s recent flings, so it appeared that there was a chance the former couple could get back together. But it now looks like they ship has sailed.

The other day, Chad took to his Twitter account to make his frustrations with Evelyn known. Apparently, Evelyn has been talking a lot about Chad and the “head butt” incident, and Chad feels she’s milking the whole situation to stretch out her “15 minutes.” Chad is in the process of trying to make a return to the NFL, and we guess the negative press coming from Evelyn still talking about the situation just isn’t a good look for someone who is trying to get signed again to a NFL team on the premise that he’s changed and he’s a better person.

Chad tweeted Evelyn’s publicist and went off. In the process of his rant, he may have dropped some tea as well. Especially since he suggests Evelyn slept with someone on Cash Money to get her publishing deal for her book series.

Evelyn Lozada is one reality television star that people love to hate. And that is understandable considering that the feisty Latina chucked wine bottles at her cast mates on Basketball Wives. Evelyn has been portrayed as one of the most violent women on the show, and she’s always in the middle of the cat fights that helped the show garner massive ratings. But after the show was protested for being too violent (thanks to Evelyn and Tami Roman), Shaunie confirmed that changes would be made to the show. In in lure of Evelyn’s own violent ending to her marriage with Chad Johnson, it’s clear that it really is time for the show to take a different direction.

In a recent interview with Hip Hollywood, Evelyn talked about what to expect from what she says will be an emotional new season of Basketball Wives, handling the criticism she received from making an appearance with Chad Johnson, and Chris Brown and Rihanna’s rekindled romance.

On the upcoming season of BBW, she says:

“I’m really, really proud of this season because the world sees us growing. And we’re very transparent. I think that’s why so many people love our show because we show all sides. Bad, great, angry, crying… so we’re just very open and I think this season a lot of people will find it very emotional because all of us are going through something individually.”

Evelyn also explains where she and Chad currently stand:

“At the end of the day, I don’t really care what anyone says. That’s my ex husband. I went to dinner. I wish him the best. We don’t hate each other. Something happened, we’ll forever be connected because of it. But I still have relationships with his kids and that’s something that means something to me. Everyone can have an opinion about that, we genuinely care about each other. I wish him the best.”

And she explains how she feels about the fact that Chris Brown and Rihanna receive so much criticism for getting back together:

“Rihanna’s personal business is her personal business but at the same time, her and Chris was broken up for two years.

“She was doing her thing and I’m sure he was doing whatever it is he was doing. And in the midst of it, I’m sure he got help. To each its own. I wish her the best. You never know what’s going on behind close doors. We’re all quick to judge and assume and you just never know.

“But she’s a great person and I love her for not caring about what the world thinks and just doing her. I wish her the best whether she’s with Chris or not.”

Evelyn Lozada is in the midst of filming for the fifth season of Basketball Wives along with the majority of her cast mates from last season, minus a few. The reality show that she is apart of has undergone some casting changes but as for Evelyn’s own personal life, it has gone through some major ones of its own as her marriage to Chad Johnson came to a quick end after a domestic violence dispute left her with a head laceration and her husband being arrested. And after the news went public, things went from bad to worse as Chad lost his spot on the Miami Dolphins’ roster and endorsement deals that he had landed. And he was hit with more bad news as Evelyn wasted no time and filed for divorce from her husband of only 41 days. Even with Evelyn filing for divorce from Chad, it never really appeared to those on the outside looking in that they were done with each other, especially seeing how openly flirty they continued to be with each other from afar. And not too long ago, the two were spotted together holding hands at a restaurant, causing even more chatter to go on about them being on their way to becoming a couple again. Just before people got things too twisted though, both Chad and Evelyn denied that they were an item again despite what was captured on camera.

In an interview that she did with VIBE Vixen, Evelyn spoke on where she stands with Chad as of now and how the incident that happened between them has affected her personally and her image, which had already been tainted from her violent behavior on Basketball Wives. As far as the incident with Chad is concerned, Evelyn says she felt like the blame for what happened to her that day was being placed on her. But at the same time, she admits to being guilty of the image that most people have of her due to her antics on BBW:

“I felt like I was getting blamed for, you know, the incident happening. And it was hard because I feel like, but at the same time I take full responsibility for putting this perception of me out there, that I argue and I just fight. And that’s what most, you know, people connect me with, especially with last season. So it’s like ‘Okay, well maybe she did something to deserve what happened’. And I’m like ‘I didn’t do anything’.”

Evelyn’s reputation made it easy for people to believe that she played a part in the whole incident with Chad. But he has said numerous times, one of them being during his ‘First Take’ interview, that he was the one at fault in the situation, to Evelyn’s relief:

“And I guess he did an interview and talked about, you know, that it was his, you know, he was honest and real. And I felt finally relieved that okay, you know, he said I didn’t have anything to do with what happened that day, he takes full responsibility, you know, he still had his ring on. It’s tough…”

And she says that Chad is doing everything in his power to salvage their marriage:

“He’s still fighting for his marriage and he wants it to work and he’s like doing whatever he can.”

Interestingly, Evelyn says that her and Chad are still not supposed to contact each other after it was reported previously that she was having the no-contact order that she had against him lifted.

“It’s tough ’cause you know, I thought I was just about to start my life. You know, I’m married, I had this beautiful wedding and then it just derailed. And life went in a whole other direction. So you know, it’s tough seeing that because in a sense, I feel like, right after the situation happened between me and him, my brother-in-law died two days later. And he walked me down the aisle. So I felt like I was, you know, mourning the loss of two people ’cause you know, I never talked to my brother-in-law again and I never talked to him ever again so it was hard. It’s still hard.”

Evelyn and Chad have said repeatedly that they are not back together. From what Evelyn says though, Chad is not ready to completely throw in the towel on their marriage and is willing to truly patch things up with her.

Chad Johnson was already known for his animated personality both on and off the football field. But now, when his name is often mentioned, it is in relation to his past marriage and romance with reality TV star Evelyn Lozada of Basketball Wives that ended on an unpleasant note and caused Chad’s name to get dragged through the mud many times over. Well after Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada went their separate ways, the talk continued about whether or not they would ever reconcile with each other and give their relationship another try. While it looked like Evelyn had no plans of ever getting back with Chad, the news of her lifting the no-contact order that she had against him came about, along with Evelyn openly admitting to considering taking Chad back despite how her disturbed fans felt about it. With the lifting of the no-contact order, most people figured that it would be only a matter of time before Chad and Evelyn would be spotted together again. And sure enough that happened right around the holiday season, getting the gossip mill going even more concerning the two.

It was rumored for a brief moment that Chad and Evelyn were back together again after a picture surfaced of him and Evelyn holding hands together at a dinner party that Chad held at a restaurant in Miami, Florida. Not wanting people to get it twisted and read too much into the pictures that were taken of them, both Chad and Evelyn shut down the rumors of a reunion between them and confirmed that they are not a couple again. Yeah, Chad and Evelyn may not be back together but that won’t keep him from going off on somebody for dissing her as Chad snapped on one of his followers for doing so:

Royce Reed Puts ‘Basketball Wives’ on Blast

Former reality television star Royce Reed might not be on the upcoming season of Basketball Wives, but she sure is going out with a bang. The feisty baby mama of Dwight Howard and former professional cheerleader has no qualms about speaking her mind and being completely transparent about what goes on behind the scenes of the controversial reality show that was so violent last season that a petition with thousands of signatures begged VH1 to take the show off the air. Although the show didn’t get the boot, Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, and Tami Roman promise the show will be less violent and more positive in season five. Interestingly enough, it seems like the most peaceful women on the show got the boot (Royce Reed, Jennifer Williams, and Kesha Nichols). However, Shaunie claims she wasn’t responsible for any of the “firings.”

Despite no longer being on the show, Royce’s nemesis Evelyn Lozada is still talking about her recklessly in her interviews. The beef between the two stems from some pretty catty disagreements in past seasons, and eventually, Evelyn just requested to no longer film any scenes with Royce.

Royce Reed took to her Twitter account the other day to express her annoyance with Evelyn’s comments about her in recent interviews. But when fans of the show expressed that they felt Royce was just being childish, she then promised that she would write a blog and spill all the tea about the show.

Royce kept true to her word, and posted the blog yesterday. In the lengthy post, Reed explains how Basketball Wives really came to fruition, and she even claims she played a big role in why the show got picked up in the first place. Of course she take some shots at Evelyn, but she also claims that Shaunie isn’t really the “boss” she’s portraying herself to be.

In addition to the Basketball Wives drama, she also took a moment to confirm that Dezmon Briscoe is back in her life (the same guy she dated and had all that baby mama drama for on Twitter who eventually got ousted for being a serial cheater) and whether or not she’ll ever make a return to reality television.

Royce on Dezmon Briscoe:

Many of you have asked about Dezmon and I. It’s been a rough ride. Sure, he made some mistakes, but we all do. Difference is, not everyone’s mistakes are in front of the world. We are still very close. I don’t know what the future holds for us but time will tell. He’s an awesome father and a good Man.

On Shaunie O’Neal:

The BBW Show idea was that of Tom Huffman, not Shaunie Oneal. Shaunie originally turned down the idea of BBW because she wanted to do her own show with her then husband Shaquille Oneal. That show was called “Love Shaq”. It never aired. Yes, Shaunie asked me if I would be interested but it was brought to me as “This guy Tom has an idea and wanted to know if you would be interested.” My relationship with Shaunie prior to this conversation was 1 in which I asked her advice on how to deal with a situation I was in. It had NOTHING to do with the show. I’m not sure when or why it became what it is today but all the rumors out there about me and her boyfriend, Allstar Wknd and ever her ex husband are 100% false and she knows it. I used to look up to her in the past but that ship has sailed. In even more blatant terms, however, Shaunie wasn’t there to sell the show…I was. I was the only cast member flown into LA to pitch the show to over 10 different stations with Tom because no one else wanted to be connected to a possible failure. Shaunie was NOT there. We got 6 offers back after those pitches and they (Shed Media) chose to go with VH1. So in more BASIC terms…I played a MAJOR role in the pitching of this show & Shaunie in no way, shape, or formed controlled my contract, paycheck, or anything of the sort. So thank you to Tom and Shed media for hiring me for this project.

Royce again explains her problem with Evelyn Lozada and says that she doesn’t think Evelyn’s situation with Chad has changed her any, despite her recent “emotional” appearance on Fix My Life:

Evelyn, have several seats and watch Netflix. I reached out to you when you got head butted and I also hugged you at the reunion (Of course that wasn’t aired…too positive). For you to have been a part of a show that was supposed to “Fix Your Life” and you’re still broken is a problem. At this point I just realize you’re a lost cause. In the past I’d probably tell you to get a pair of gasoline drawls and go past H*ll, but I digress. All your anger towards me is material. You speak on my clothes, but I own a house and 2 cars. You speak on my hair, but I can jump in the pool without worries or my mascara running. I’m naturally beautiful. :cue Phenomenal Woman poem: You stopped filming with me because I NEVER backed down to you. I never let you treat or speak to me the way you did to Suzie or Jennifer & you didn’t like it. I was raised to stand my ground & I never let you take it from under me. Period. If you would concentrate more on what’s important in life and the legacy you will leave behind you will be a much happier person. I do feel sorry for you at times. I wonder what and where you will be when this show is over and the checks stop coming.

Royce also claims that despite what’s being reported, she was not fired from Basketball Wives. Reed claims she walked away from the show when it was clear to her that there wasn’t going to be many changes made to bring an end to the childishness and bullying on the show:

I was NOT fired from BBW. I tried to leave Season 3 and Season 4 but was negotiated into staying. For Season 5, I refused to take part in the ignorance and drama on purpose so it was a mutual decision. When someone tells you things aren’t going to change regardless of the backlash, you have to step back and think about whats more important… your dignity or a supplemental paycheck. I chose my dignity and I’ve never been happier. Would I ever do another reality show, yes. Will it have drama, of course but it will be REAL and stem from actual events.

In related news, Royce is still having some issues with Dezmon’s baby mama. The other day the two took shots at each other and posted screen shots of blocked calls both claimed were from the other. Eventually, Dezmon’s baby mama tweeted Evelyn:

Dezmon’s baby mama then proceeded to tweet about how she still has him wrapped around her fingers and tweeted pictures of him too. Yeah, good luck with that Royce.

Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada ended their relationship and short-lived marriage on a rather violent note when Chad got arrested last year for headbutting Evelyn during an intense argument over a box of condoms. One by one, the couple lost pretty much every bit of “accomplishment” they achieved as a couple. But those close to Evelyn say the biggest blow and cause of her to file for divorce was actually the cancellation of her reality show with Chad that was slated to appear on VH1. The show, entitled Ev & Ocho, was supposed to give fans a close glimpse into the former couple’s lives as they took the steps to become husband and wife. Once Chad began to suffer public backlash for assaulting Evelyn, the network decided to put an axe to the show.

Although there were reports that Chad and Evelyn’s divorce was finalized late last year, Chad claims that the two are still married. In a recent interview with ESPN’s First Take, Chad claims he purposely signed the wrong name on the divorce papers, therefore the two are still husband and wife legally. He also made it clear that he does want a reconciliation with Evelyn, and was undergoing counseling to “get his family back.”

The couple mainly communicated with each other via code messages on Twitter while a no contact order was in place, but after Evelyn requested the no contact order be lifted, many began to speculate that the former couple was in the process of getting back together. Then of course, Chad tweeted that the two were living together again, therefore giving more ground to the rumors.

The other night, the former couple made an appearance at an event together, and pictures of them holding hands at the event spread like wildfire to the gossip blogs. By just a glance of the pictures, it did at least look like Evelyn and Chad were pulling a Chris and Rihanna, especially since Evelyn’s been hinting that she wouldn’t be against it on her Instagram account and interviews.

But Evelyn says the pictures aren’t telling the right story.

The reality star took to her website late Monday to explain why she was at the event with Chad, and why holding hands with him meant nothing.

She writes:

I attended a dinner with Chad’s daughter, not only because I love baby girl like my own, but to support Chad and his fan appreciation dinner. While at the dinner, several photos popped up on the Internet of Chad and I holding hands, while in the process of blessing the food. The blogs made last night seem as though, we walked hand and hand into the restaurant announcing a reunion, which wasn’t the case.

I care for Chad, we are friends and we love one another, however, we are still separated, not living under the same roof and working on ourselves because we have a long way to go. This is a normal and realistic process for anyone and I don’t know what the future holds for me, but I know God holds it and I’m taking things one day at a time. I appreciate the love from so many of you and right now I’m still working on becoming a better person. Chad and I are attending therapy separately, meeting with a Life Coach and trying to figure out how to work on our individual selves and navigate through this entire ordeal.

Are Evelyn and Chad back together? Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson have had their ups and downs as they watched their short lived marriage crumble right before their eyes, a marriage that people still questioned heavily even after it was over. Though their union came to an abrupt end and had a negative impact on some of the things that they were set to do as a couple, the possibility of Evelyn and Chad back together still looked to be there as Ev and Chad were caught on plenty of occasions doing some not so subtle flirting with each other on Twitter. The social media flirting was where the line was drawn though as it was said that Evelyn had no intentions of reconciling with Chad and was moving forward with her life. That has all changed now as Evelyn just recently had the no contact order she had against Chad lifted. For it wasn’t the lifting of the no contact order that Evelyn caught the majority of heat from but her open approval of Chris Brown and Rihanna reuniting, which sent some of her fans through the roof. As for her own personal situation, the rumors about Evelyn and Chad being back together may not be rumors at all anymore judging from what was caught on camera yesterday.

Last night, Chad Johnson hosted a dinner party at a restaurant in Miami, Florida. And he showed up to it with Evelyn right by his side, the two making their first public appearance together since the news of their divorce, Ev and Chad not only pictured together, but holding hands too:

There is no official word on whether or not Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson are back together, although they are supposedly living together now. By the looks of the pictures though, they were surely enjoying spending time with each other.

Royce Reed Slams Evelyn Lozada & Shaunie O’Neal on Twitter

Royce Reed was at odds with a number of her other cast mates on Basketball Wives, especially Evelyn Lozada. The two walked away from Season 3 of the show still not dealing with each after their fight and looked to have no plans on doing so either. Unlike the on stage make up between Evelyn and Jennifer Williams on last season’s reunion show, there won’t be any on camera reconciling going on between Royce and Ev as Royce let it be known not too long ago that her time on Basketball Wives was over and that she would not be returning for the next season of the show. As her fans were upset to hear about her leaving, not everyone was sad to see her go. In a recent interview that she did, Evelyn Lozada was questioned about why Royce was not coming back to the show. And Evelyn said, after she made it clear that she still does not associate with her, that Royce’s departure was not voluntary and that she was asked to leave because she was too boring to keep around. Apparently Royce caught wind of Ev’s shade and took to her Twitter account to directly ask Evelyn why she has such a hard time keeping her name out of her mouth since Evelyn claimed her to be “so irrevelant” and Royce says that the real reason Evelyn stopped filming with her was because she was scared to. She also called out Shaunie O’Neal and claims she was not behind the idea of Basketball Wives (read from the bottom up):

It’s been a crazy 48 hours for two of the most popular celebrity couples that ended due to some pretty nasty situations involving domestic violence. Of course no break up and reconciliation has been as big or as talked about in the media as Chris Brown and Rihanna’s, and for the last couple of months, their “romance” has been a confusing one since Chris seemed to be stringing along both Rihanna and other ex girlfriend Karrueche Tran at the same time. This has caused the two ladies to become some kind of enemies, and both have taken to their social networking accounts to take shots at the other and fight for Chris Brown’s attention. It got so frustrating for Rihanna that she eventually reclaimed her single status on her Instagram account, but things took a drastic turn on Christmas Day when Chris and Rihanna attended a Lakers game together front and center.

While there are many people who were disgusted by this and even more angry that Rihanna has no problems being affectionate and kissing the guy who beat her face in a few years ago on television, there are still many people who support the reunion. Unsurprisingly, Evelyn Lozada is one of them.

Evelyn, who seems to be good friends with Rihanna, took to her Instagram account to post about how happy she was Chris and Rihanna seemed to be back together. This didn’t sit well with Evelyn’s fans, especially since Evelyn is a victim of domestic violence herself and rumors suggest she’s also getting back together with her abuser and estranged husband Chad Johnson.

But Evelyn wasn’t fazed by any of the criticism. As we recently reported, Chad Johnson has already confirmed that he and Evelyn are already living together again. And obviously Evelyn is feeling a little “unapologetic” too about her choice to take Chad back because she posted a quote from Diddy about doing what makes her happy despite what other people think:

Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada may have ended on a horrible note due to Chad headbutting her during an argument over a box of condoms, but it’s clear neither Chad nor Evelyn walked completely away from the situation. Despite losing everything, the former couple was still communicating with each other through code on Twitter. Although Evelyn kept stating in her interviews that she had moved out and was attempting to move on from the situation, it was clear that she still had feelings for Chad because she got into Twitter beefs with some of his groupies on several occasions. Then there of course is that recent interview in which Evelyn claims that it’s not impossible that she could give Chad a second chance. So when Chad revealed that he and Evelyn are still legally married on ESPN’s First Take, for many, it was then clear that it was only a matter of time before these two got back together.

Just days after lifting the no contact order, it appears that Evelyn and Chad really are on the way to a reconciliation. Just the other day, Chad confirmed to one of his followers on Twitter that he is now talking to Evelyn on a regular basis, and that’s because they are now living together.

He tweets:

Chad has already made it clear on several occasions that his plan is to get Evelyn back and he’s currently going through counseling to make sure that things never get violent between them again.

We’ll just have to see how this works out.
