Rich Dollaz Says He’s Not a Deadbeat Dad & Erica Mena’s Not on Drugs

Rich Dollaz has returned for another season of Love and Hip Hop. And with his return came a crazy amount of drama for the music producer as he has gotten a lot closer to cast mate Erica Mena on this season of the show. So close even that it was rumored that the two had gotten engaged prior to the airing of this season’s first episode. Rich Dollaz denied the engagement rumors and looked to be denying that he had a romantic relationship with Erica altogether, driving Erica to attempt to put Rich on blast for fronting about what they have going on, posting topless pictures of herself laying in bed with Rich, making them look very much like a couple. Rumors surrounding him and Erica Mena’s relationship were the least of Rich’s concerns though as he was arrested on camera while at a talent show in Memphis for not making a scheduled appearance in court. In an interview that he did with Hot 97, Rich Dollaz was asked about his numerous arrests that people have been buzzing about. According to Rich though, he was not arrested multiple times and the late release of video footage is to blame for people thinking that. He also addressed the reason behind his arrest, saying that it had to do with the paternity hearing that he was supposed to go to and missed, his alleged baby mama being the one who called the cops on him:

“The video that’s out is that same arrest. I went to Memphis to host a showcase…The girl brought the cops to the hotel room…I had missed the date for a paternity, that I didn’t get. They admitted that I didn’t get because they were sending it to the wrong address. So obviously when you do that, a warrant is issued. So when you go in town, she brought the cops to the hotel, I get arrested. So then I go in there, real quick in and out. I go, I get my hearing and I get ROR. I get released on my own recognizance and the judge is like ‘Go about your business’.”

The drama that he has going on with his alleged baby mama, whom Erica Mena got a kick out of taunting, over the paternity of the child that they allegedly have together has painted Rich Dollaz as a deadbeat dad. Rich says though in order to be a deadbeat dad, you would have to actually be proven to be the father first:

“I had a hearing, went back for the hearing, they give you a date and everybody’s like ‘Yo, you a deadbeat’. But you can’t be a deadbeat without having established paternity. That’s all I’ma say about that.”

Rich also adds that his alleged child is 12 years old and he thinks that the talk of paternity has come up now because of his current gig with Love and Hip Hop yet lets it be known that he will take care of the child if test results prove that he is the father.

Erica Mena shortly came up into conversation as Rich was questioned about whether or not they were in a relationship. After admitting that he had those moments with her that made him look ”corny” on TV, Rich simply says:

“I’m just tryna get through this show at this point.”

While Rich didn’t respond with a concrete “Yes” or “No” to the question of dating Erica, he did dish on when they decided to become more serious with each other, despite the fact that people still aren’t buying their relationship:

“It actually happened through working. We all hung out on February, whatever that was, 40/40. We started working together. She had moved to New York. That’s when I was trying to figure out what was going on with her.”

And he also says that when it comes to her music, Erica probably won’t be taken seriously starting out and that modeling is more up her alley.

Rich Dollaz has admitted that he mixed business with pleasure when it came to Erica Mena and says that she can be a’ firecracker’ at times. But he assures that those raged-filled moments that she has are not because she is on drugs:

“Nah…She is definitely a firecracker. She definitely is a fiery Latina. But no, Erica is not on drugs. I’ve never even seen Erica do the socially acceptable stuff.”

Rich Dollaz is supposed to be in a romantic relationship with his Love and Hip Hop cast member Erica Mena, however, the same night as the premiere, multiple women were claiming that they were sleeping with Rich. One woman in particular even claimed she was in a serious relationship with him up until the premiere of the show, but said she broke up with the reality star once rumors about him being engaged to Erica began to make rounds on the urban gossip blogs. Rich interestingly enough told people he wasn’t engaged to Erica, although Erica continued to post pictures of wedding magazines to her Instagram account. As we recently reported, we’re still not sold that their relationship is real, but more so just one for the cameras like Kenya Moore’s allegedly was with Walter Jackson on Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Despite their interesting “relationship,” Rich has been having some real life legal issues and was arrested recently in Memphis because he didn’t show up at a court ordered paternity test. Apparently, there’s a young woman, Chaundrea, who claims Rich is the father of her 13-year-old daughter, and she says Rich has known about the child for years, but had no desire to support the child financially. Now that he’s getting a VH1 check, she wants him to pay up.

It’s rather irresponsible that Rich is trying his hardest to avoid taking the paternity test, but we were pretty disgusted that Erica is taunting her on Twitter as if the situation has anything to do with her. The other day, she even went as far as to ridicule the young woman for having “nappy a*s hair.” She tweeted a photo of the young woman waiting in the courthouse and made fun of her appearance. We’re not sure who took the picture (stalking much?), but peep Erica’s ignorance:

From what we know, Rich is still avoiding taking this paternity test by allegedly using fake names every time he travels to promote the show.

Erica Mena’s relationship with Rich Dollaz was thought to be getting pretty serious at one point, far beyond the manager-artist level as it was rumored that they got engaged to each other right around the start of season 3 of Love and Hip Hop. While some people were set to send Erica and Rich congrats on becoming engaged, it was shortly discovered that it was all a fraud. Not only are Erica Mena and Rich Dollaz not engaged to each other, they aren’t much of a couple at all the way Rich sees it as he has continued to downplay what it is that he has going on with Erica and he told Olivia that what was going on between him and Erica was nothing extra special. Erica doesn’t see it that way though as she got into it with Rich at a nightclub for not making moves to leave when she was ready to go and doing some heavy flirting with Joe Budden’s ex boo Tahiry, Erica’s arguing with Rich sparking a beef between her and cast mate Rapper Lore’l who spilled some tea about Erica’s mothering skills and her alleged drug use. As for Erica and Rich, it is looking as though they are on completely different pages as far as where they stand.

And that’s most likely because the relationship is fake and just for the cameras. We told you recently that we’re not buying their “relationship,” especially when Rich is sending texts to other women telling them not to believe what they read on the blogs concerning his relationship with Erica. There’s no real chemistry between them on the show either, and their interaction just seems very scripted. Obviously Erica and Rich feel like they have to prove themselves, because the “couple” took to Instagram the other day to release intimate pictures of them in bed. Erica posted the photos of herself topless lying in bed with Rich Dollaz, the two cuddling, kissing, and sucking on each other. Examiner got a hold of the photos before they were eventually deleted. Erica posted the pictures and the following caption “What they say and do”:

Was Rich Dollaz arrested? Just a few days after the season three premiere of Love and Hip Hop, it appears that the cast is already being bombarded with legal troubles. As we recently reported, Yandy Smith’s boo Mandeecees Smith has been accused of molesting a 15-year-old girl, and has an upcoming court date for allegedly sexually assaulting the young girl rumors suggest may be the daughter of his other baby mama. And now it appears that not only could Rich Dollaz and Erica Mena’s relationship be completely fake, but Rich is having some real drama surrounding a particular paternity test he’s been trying to avoid taking for months. According to reports. Rich Dollaz was arrested Thursday due to warrants from refusing to take a court ordered paternity test and driving with a suspended license.

Mouth to Ears reports:

Rich attempted to travel to Memphis to attend a talent show, under a alleged fake name. While in Memphis, Rich was arrested by Shelby County police. Rich allegedly had a warrant for failure to appear in court. He was supposed to appear for a court ordered paternity test in Memphis but failed to comply. He also allegedly has warrant in the state of New Jersey and is riding on a suspended license.

Rich was apparently released within a few hours because the reality star took to his Twitter account to brag about how he had a friend get him out within three hours. He also took time to taunt the woman who requested the paternity test he is still refusing to take:

So they say Rich Dollaz and Erica Mena are engaged, but could the engagement be fake? Last night, Twitter went crazy with people’s reactions to the first episode of Season 3 of Love and Hip Hop. For many people, the show just didn’t seem real, especially the interactions between one “current” couple and a former couple that called it off two years ago. Erica Mena and Rich Dollaz are said to be “so in love,” but we have to say we just didn’t see the chemistry last night or during the press meeting yesterday. Erica seems more into Rich than he is with her. Then they conveniently planted their first rumor yesterday about them getting busy at some public restroom in some New York nightclub the other night. So to us, all of it just seems so…fake. Apparently, we’re not the only people who feel that way because many expressed the same sentiments last night on Twitter. But one young lady in particular suggests she has proof that Erica Mena and Rich Dollaz engagement is fake.

Before we even get into what happened on Twitter last night, we do have to address that for the last 24 hours, Erica Mena and Rich Dollaz have been giving conflicting answers to anyone who has been asking them if they are engaged. Erica Mena says the couple is engaged and even posted wedding magazines to her Instagram account the other day, but Rich Dollaz flat out told Global Grind that they are not engaged.

If that’s not weird enough, a young woman posted what she says is a text message conversation that took place yesterday between her and Rich. In the messages, Rich seems to suggest that he is not engaged, and he even asked the girl to send him some sexy pictures like he’s not even in a relationship with Erica. The young woman then claims that she and Rich were actually in a relationship, but she broke things off when the blogs started to report that Rich was engaged to Erica Mena.

The young woman then proceeded to upload text messages she claims were from Rich Dollaz. In the alleged messages, he claims he is not engaged and even asks her to send him sexy pictures of himself:

Mona Scott Young has been accused before of creating stories when there isn’t one, and even “staging” drama to keep the show interesting. Last year, Lil Scrappy even admitted the fight between him and Stevie J. was totally staged and encouraged by the producers. This is pretty much why Chrissy, Jim Jones, and Kimbella left the show.

Interestingky enough, despite all the drama that the first episode had, people are still wishing LHHATL was back on. We saw numerous tweets from people who admit the show is nowhere near as entertaining as LHHATL, but this one seems to have been the most retweeted:

Not only is Erica Mena and Rich Dollaz’s engagement and entire relationship most likely fake, but Joe Budden and Tahiry’s scenario on the show seems so forced. If you ask us, both have obviously moved on and this storyline is two years too late. Maybe Tahiry needed the money, so Joe is looking out, and that’s easy to understand if Tahiry is a waitress these days.

Are Erica Mena and Rich Dollaz engaged? Season three of Love and Hip Hop hasn’t started yet, but already it’s clear from the recent trailers and promotional clips that this season could be an entertaining one. Although there a plenty of people who are doubting that the show will be able to clap back after that epic season of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, Mona Scott Young is hoping that the show will still be entertaining even though some original stars and fan favorites of the show aren’t returning (Chrissy Lampkin, Jim Jones, Kimbella, and Emily B) for season three.

With the new additions to the show (notably rapper Joe Budden and his ex girlfriend Tahiry) the return of fan favorites Yandy Smith, Olivia, and the most hated Erica Mena; the scene is already set for plenty of drama. Besides Joe Budden and Tahiry’s explosive relationship, there is a budding romance that could also pose a lot of problems on the show. Erica Mena might be getting more serious about her modeling career, but she’s also getting more serious in her love life. This season the up and coming model is dating Oliva’s manager Rich Dollaz, and rumors suggest Olivia isn’t too thrilled about it.

Now before the show has even premiered, it’s been said that Erica and Rich Dollaz are already engaged. We did hear that Rich is head over heels in love when it comes to Erica, but the engagement talk came a lot faster than we expected.

If this is true, Erica Mena and Rich Dollaz are the second couple to get engaged in the Love & Hip Hop franchise in the last few months. Rapper Lil Scrappy and Erica are still standing strong in their engagement, and rumored to be making wedding plans now.
