Be Patient Yet Persistent

Being patient yet persistent when it comes to your prayers

By: Taren Vaughan

Psalm 40:1
I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.

Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Being patient is one of the hardest things to do, especially when you want something to happen for you so bad. You can almost reach out and grab your happiness or success. But yet and still, it seems so far away. God tells us to be patient for we will achieve our goals in due time. It can be a frustrating process, waiting for your prayer to surface. But trust and believe that it will happen for you if you remain patient.

While you are patiently awaiting your blessing, don’t forget to continue to pray about whatever it is that you want to happen for you. Be persistent in your prayers. Unlike your family and friends, God never gets tired of hearing what you have to say. And because He is always listening to you, you shouldn’t get tired of praying for what it is that you want. Your persistence shows God that you are really sincere about what it is that you are praying for.
