Numerous R&B artists have crossed over into the world of Pop. Beyonce’ was one of the first new school R&B divas to make that move, followed by Ciara and Rihanna. Now Mya will be joining them on “the other side”. According to the singer, her next album will have dance music on it. She has teamed up with DJ Junior Sanchez who has produced hit records for Pop sensations Shakira and Madonna. Mya is hoping that working with him can result in some hits of her own.
On working with DJ Junior Sanchez:

This is a new sound for Mya as we are all used to her urban style of music. She has not released an album since 2003 and I’m sure fans are anxious for her to drop another one. The biggest question is will Mya find her place in an already crowded Pop industry? Or does she need to stick to her original R&B roots?
I am definitely ready to see a come back from Mya! I used to love her music and hope that she has some great new music to share with us!
