Nicki Minaj and her Label YMCMB cancels her Summer Jam performance after radio personality Peter Rosenberg criticizes her song Starships and says she is no longer hip hop.

Barbies all over the world are ticked off at New York’s Hot 97 FM and radio personality Peter Rosenberg after the label YMCMB removes their artists from the Hot 97 Summer Jam concert tonight.
According to MTV:
Hot 97 radio personality Peter Rosenberg voiced a negative opinion on Minaj’s “Starships,”calling the song “wack,” and adding that she was was no longer ‘real hip-hop,’ which started all of the trouble.
Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Wayne took to their Twitter accounts to express their extreme displeasure with Rosenberg’s comments and Lil’ Wayne announced on Twitter to their millions of followers that they will no longer be performing at the concert.
Nicki Minaj wrote to her fans:
Wow. U ni–az just fucked up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB
I go above and beyond for my fans. But won’t ever go against wayne’s word. What he says, goes. Had a H–L of a fucking lineup. But we won’t b disrespected.
The remaining Hot 97 Summer Jam line up includes Young Jeezy, Rick Ross and Maybach Music, J. Cole, Wale, Meek Mill, DJ Khaled and Friends, Waka Flocka, Trey Songz, Maino, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, French Montana.
Wow. How petty of Nicki. Most of the Hip Hop community thinks your new music and style is wack Nick! You know this. You sold out during your first album. And people will call you out because of their love for Hip Hop. But don’t punish your fans. Smh.
The whole young money crew is full of divas! It was not that serious! I’m so sick of them acting like God’s gift to music when they’re half the reason music is terrible now!

What he said was true. I respect Nicki’s hustle, but she hasn’t been a Hip Hop artist since her last mix tape. It is what it is.
How can anyone sit here and hate on the ONLY female rapper doing it right now?! You guys sound like bitter bums. Nicki is doing what she has to in order to sell records. Ain’t nobody trying to hear a female talking about slutting it out for random dudes like Lil’ Kim or being a thug like Remy Ma who is currently in prison. That mess is played. She’s smart and her pockets are deep because of it. Stop hating.
Just like a real barbie, there’s nothing but air in your brain. Stop taking it so personal when people criticize Nicki as an ARTIST. They know that she is way more talented than the music she is putting out. You know it too. Grow up and let people have their opinions without being so immature about it.

Do you females hate on Nicki because your favorite female rapper can’t get on anymore? That is not Nicki’s fault. The hate for this woman is sad. Hating on her won’t make your favorite female rapper relevant or successful.
This isn’t about the other female rappers. This is about Nicki. She has sold out. Period.
And Nicki was going to be the first female rapper to headline the Summer Jam. She’s making history while your faves can’t even get backing for their “albums.” You mad?
