Uh did Chris Brown piss someone else off? Team Breezy was pretty ill with him for the phony label he slapped on them and his Frank Ocean comment, one that he denied ever saying in a Twitter rant, set the gay community off. But looking at a recent album review for ‘Fortune’ done by X-Press’s Chloe Papas, she may be added to that bunch. And as we expected her to stick strictly to serving up her opinion on Chris’ new music, Papas’ review took a turn, one where she let out her true feelings about Chris the man and not just Chris the artist.
Before the pop/R&B singer upset them, Chris Brown’s fans were anxiously waiting for his new album to drop. Papas says though that she doesn’t know what they were so hyped up about because to her, the album was rather garbage and she hopes that this is the end of the road for Brown and his music making:
“Chris Brown has released his fifth studio album — a 19-track repugnant record that we can only hope will be his last,”
“Till I Die is a catastrophic mysogynistic s**t of a song, with lyrics: “I super soak that ho/Show ’em no love/Throw ’em a towel,”
While his fans, and other celebrities may have moved on from Brown’s abusive past, Chloe Papas is never letting it go and thinks it’s pathetic that Chris is still asked to make show appearances and has a huge fan base that still rides hard for him since to her, he has not an ounce of talent:
“Let’s just get down to it. Regardless of whether Chris Brown has any musical talent (he doesn’t) or whether this album is any good (it isn’t), the man recently brutally assaulted a woman, and is still regularly invited back to award shows and worshipped by ‘Breezy’ fans worldwide,”
“Which is, frankly, disgusting. And for those of you out there saying you need to separate the music and the man: screw you, don’t encourage his actions. Final words: don’t buy this album.”
Now I haven’t bought a Chris Brown album in years, so I can’t speak on whether or not his new one is any good. And we all know his squeaky clean, good boy image left him years ago. But I could have sworn that album reviews were supposed to focus on the music alone and nothing else.
Sounds like Chloe Papas was letting too many of her personal thoughts and views of Chris ooze out in her review. What do you think?

Well, when his lyrics are still clearly derogatory towards women, there’s still a problem.
Attitudes that are negative towards women, which then lead to violence, are wrong.
It is therefore even worse when a role model holds (and teaches) these attitudes.
I won’t buy eggs from people who use battery hens, let alone buy music from a man who by both his words and actions, supports and commits domestic violence. Chris brown, by his own creation is a commodity, and not a good one. There are plenty of musicians who are decent, not human refuse like that little turd.
