Rumor Control: K. Michelle is NOT Dating US Olympic Swimmer Ryan Lochte

K. Michelle and Ryan Lochte are a hot topic now since one of the leading urban gossip blogs “revealed” that the two are dating. The only problem with that is, K. Michelle and Ryan Lochte are not dating. In fact, the two haven’t been an item in years. As we revealed here not too long ago, K. Michelle is currently single and hasn’t been dating anyone since R. Kelly and before him Memphitz,  a relationship that she claimed was an abusive one. Regardless of that fact, a certain blog decided to publish old news as new news, since perhaps it’s a slower news days then they wanted it to be. No worries, we’ll give you proof that K. Michelle and Ryan Lochte are not dating.

One of the sources MTO credited was a video in which K. Michelle revealed that she was dating a white professional swimmer.

While she never named any names, it was clear to people at the time that K. Michelle was referring to Ryan Lochte, especially considering that the two were photo’d together several times during the All Star in 2011. If you take a little time to look a the video description, you’ll see that the video was also uploaded to Youtube and recorded in 2011.

The last piece of evidence the blog uses as “proof” that K. Michelle and Ryan Lochte are dating is a quote from US Weekly. That’s cool, but perhaps they could have at least been honest and tell people that the quote was a response to why Ryan Locte is still single. Here’s the quote taken from Ryan Lochte’s mother on his relationship status:

“He’s too busy! He’s so warmhearted that I don’t think he’d want to have a relationship with somebody. I don’t think he wants to get into a relationship. It just wouldn’t be fair to the girl.”

And for the picture of the two together that we have posted above (the one MTO says was taken this year), that’s another lie. The picture was actually take in 2011 during the All Star Weekend. So, if our math is right, it’s pretty clear that K. Michelle and Ryan Lochte haven’t been dating since last year, that’s the last time the two were even pictured together. In the meantime, his last public girlfriend is Caroline Burckle, a fellow professional swimmer.
