Well it looks like the K. Michelle and Memphitz saga just got legal. Since the debut of the Love And Hip Hop Atlanta, the world was introduced to singer K. Michelle, and she told the world her story of an abusive ex boyfriend who signed her to her first music deal, only to abuse her and spend all of her budget money. Since then, the allegations have led to many Twitter beefs between K. Michelle and Toya, a showdown between her and Rasheeda, and even an uncomfortable confrontation between her and Memphitz on Instagram. Regardless, Toya and Memphitz have done nothing legally to fight the claims until now, even though both Toya and Memphitz denied the claims in recent interviews.

Well now reports suggest Memphitz has filed suit against VH1 and Mona Scott Young’s company Monami Entertainment, LLC.

Here’s the release Memphitz’s people put out today:

MICKEY “MeMpHiTz” WRIGHT FILES FEDERAL LAWSUIT AGAINST VH-1 AND “LOVE AND HIP HOP:ATLANTA” CREATORS

Atlanta, GA-September 4, 2012-Mickey Wright, Jr. p/k/a “MeMpHiTz”, is filing a federal lawsuit against the creators and producers of the popular VH-1 reality television show “Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta.”

Attorneys Conti J. Moore, Esq. of Conti Moore Law, PLLC and Alcide L. Honoré, Esq. of Hooper & Honoré, LLC, are representing Mr. Wright. He is filing suit against the following entities: Viacom International, Inc.; NFGTV, Inc.; and Monami Entertainment, LLC.

Wright is suing the named Defendants for approximately one dollar per viewer per show for damages that stem from the defamatory statements and denigrating actions of cast member Kimberly Michelle Pate p/k/a “K. Michelle”.

According to Attorney Conti J. Moore, Esq., whose practice is based in Orlando, Florida, “Ms. Pate has taken full advantage of society’s tendency to accept claims of domestic violence as always being true, even in the absence of proof. The only abuse that actually occurred is the malicious and calculated pattern of vicious lies Ms. Pate has assailed for the purpose of fabricating a compelling story line in an attempt to ruin my client’s name.”

Atlanta based Attorney Alcide L. Honoré, Esq. maintains that, “even the most ridiculous statements when repeated frequently become true in the minds of many. Ms. Pate’s preposterous claims, which include allegations that Mr. Wright mismanaged funds and caused her career to ‘flop’, have been adopted as truth by many followers of the popular VH-1 reality series.”

Wright maintains that the suit is not about revenge but is instead about defending himself and his professional reputation from the malicious false and misleading statements made about him on the popular VH-1 reality show.

“My family and I have suffered tremendously while VH-1, Monami Ent., and the other companies provided a worldwide platform for K. Michelle to repeatedly assassinate my character. The filing of this suit is to compensate for the irreparable damage that has been done to my reputation and to deter these companies from doing such future harm to others.”

“Domestic violence is an issue of serious nature, often having grave consequences for true victims with whom we all sympathize. However, it is unconscionable for one to play on the sympathies of the masses by levying false accusations of such heinous acts against an innocent party, simply for the sake of entertainment or for purported career advancement. After reviewing the evidence in this matter, we are prepared to litigate this case to the fullest extent of the law to seek justice for our client and to restore his name and professional reputation.” Moore & Honore

Memphitz is seeking millions of dollars in damages, and is said to be asking for $1 per episode that he was mentioned. And we know that’s pretty much every single episode. We’re not sure how this will turn out since K. Michelle did say she has proof of the abuse and she never mentioned Memphitz’s name on the show, people only assumed. We’re guessing this was to prevent a suit from being filed. Welp.

K. Michelle, nor Mona has responded as of yet.

Developing.

    1. you’re stupid. He’s responding now cause that thirsty trick just now bringing it up. Even Evelyn showed pics of her forehead….where’s K’s pics at?

      1. And you’re CHILDISH. Learn how to have an adult conversation/debate before you address anyone here. This ain’t MTO.

And lastly, you need to do your homework before you try to check anyone. K. Michelle has been talking about this since 2010. So if you want to take it to a childish level, YOU’RE stupid.

      2. F it. I’ll be childish. Torry’s you’re stupid as hell! Most women don’t take pictures of themselves when they have been abused because they are ashamed! You’re a real idiot. And you should know by now that K. Michelle has been hollering about this for 2 years. Toya and her been beefing.

      3. Don’t come for me, you really don’t want it. Like I said, he took two years to handle a situation that was too serious to be stalled. I wouldn’t let someone “defame” my character for two years. You’re dismissed.

  1. I still think he did it. This is nothing but PR and Damage Control. He’s going to lose. Once again, he decided to bully this woman. What an a–.

      1. Last time telling who? And you are? Girl you can’t tell me NOTHING bout Memphitz having his own money when that little email he sent out begging execs to loan him money to pay for Toya’s ring was on the blogs last year. Nice try though. 🙂

  2. Well it’s time for K. Michelle to bring out that proof she says she has. It’s time to take the gloves off now. I’m not sure what she’s waiting on. If you have proof, release it now.

  3. But why isn’t he suing K. Michelle though? Because she has proof? I guess he figured he couldn’t win against the actual victim. SMH!

  4. I’m sorry, I always thought it was weird that she never mentioned his name on the show or in interviews. It’s like she knew she could be sued. If she was telling the truth, why would she do that? I don’t like Rasheeda and Toya is a bird, but K. Michelle is lying. Facts are facts. Something isn’t added up and never will.

  5. S/O to the people smart enough to catch on to the fact that he didn’t file suit against K. Michelle herself. He’s still a manipulator I see. He’ll lose this case BTW. This is nothing but a PR tactic. Toya and her man are extremely pathetic.

  6. He wasted his time filing suit against VH1. He won’t win that one. If K. Michelle is the one lying, then why not go after her? Again, he seems guilty. IJS.

  7. I’m with everyone else who isn’t phased by this sh-t. He didn’t sue her, so that says a lot. This is probably some sh-t he decided to do to keep Toya from actually using her brain for once. Can’t be mad at him. Some women are slow and he lucked up with Toya. She has money and she’s naive. Win.

  8. I still believe K. Michelle. She’s been saying this since 2010 and he’s just now filing suit, and it ain’t even against her. I wish this dude would just admit the truth, apologize and everyone should then move on.

    1. Like the lawsuit stated, if someone says something long enough, they’ll start to believe it themselves. If he did this why did she wait 5 years until her a-s needed a storyline to start talking about it now..where are the police reports. Once an abuser, always an abuser, Arianne and Toya, and several other women have come forward to say he has never put his hands on them. And Mona could easily put all of this to rest by giving KMichelle a lie detector test, like she did on the LHHNY reunion show.KMichelle’s dumb a-s has mentioned his name, but Viacom was smart enough to edit it out before previewing the show..and she has said his name many times on twitter and in interviews, how the hell do you think people know it was HIM???

  9. The women on Hollywood Exes, Royce Reed, & Shaunie were all required to sign contacts to protect their names. If he was do concerned about his reputation he would\’ve done the same!!
