Katt Williams has had a rough couple of months. The comedian has been arrested several times and has even had several lawsuits filed against him. He’s even burning bridges with other comedians for what has been labeled by many as erratic behavior, not to mention his fans have been disappointed numerous times by several of his last performances. Although some speculate that Katt is probably on some hard drugs and it could possibly be causing this very erratic behavior on stage, Katt claims that he is not on drugs nor is he fazed by the any of the criticism. While it is somewhat honorable that Katt refuses to the let negative press get to him, his non concern for the negative media attention hasn’t stopped the lawsuits from flooding in. And his latest lawsuit is actually from one of his fans.

Katt Williams recently made headlines for his rather disturbing meltdown in Oakland. Several videos of the performance have gone viral, and all show Katt’s erratic ranting on stage during one of his performances, which eventually led to him being dragged off the stage by his own security after he attempted to fight hecklers.

According to Mercury News:

A fan who attended Williams’ performance at Oracle Arena on Nov. 16 has filed a class-action lawsuit on behalf of the those in attendance against the performer and his promoter in Alameda County Superior Court. Brian Herline of Modesto filed the suit against Williams and promoter Live Nation on Nov. 21, claiming Williams didn’t perform.

The suit claims that Williams “confronted a heckler, took his clothes off and attempted to fight at least three audience members” before his act “abruptly ended after about 10 minutes.” The suit seeks to compensate Herline and “all others who paid money for a show and got nothing but Katt Williams’ nonperformance.”

Williams was escorted offstage by security on Nov. 16. Videos of the concert showed him removing his shirt while spewing forth a profane set of monologues.

Ticket prices ranged from $33 to $94, plus service fees.

The fan, Brian Herline, claims that he feels like a lawsuit will make it clear to Katt that he has really let down his fans. Not to mention, he wants to be reimbursed for the $1000 he paid for tickets:

Attorney Joel Young, who is representing Herline in the case, said his client spent more than $1,000 to attend the concert and that his client filed the suit because Williams did not carry out a good-faith agreement to perform.

“It was very disappointing,” Herline said of Williams’ performance. “I’ve been a big fan for years. I make the effort to come see him, and I just felt that he did nothing to earn any part of it. I didn’t pay all that money to see him melt down, and I want to make sure he knows that.”

The lawsuit comes just days after a woman who claims to be Katt’s assistant filed a suit against him for allegedly punching her in the face.

  1. Just a mess! I hope Katt gets it together. I don’t know if it’s drugs or just him having some issues with being in the industry.

  2. I honestly don’t blame the fan. Katt needs to reimburse EVERYONE that came to see him perform. He really let down his supporters.

  3. Katt stay losing and he is actually one of the funniest comedians to have ever done it. It’s sad when we allow our flaws to ruin us in this way.
