Dwyane Wade has been spending the vast majority of the holiday season on the basketball court as this week has been full to the brim with basketball and football games both on the college and professional level.  With his girlfriend, an avid sports fanatic, cheering him on in the stands along with the thousands of other die hard Miami Heat fans, the star guard, along with his teammates, always aim to play with a high level of intensity as capturing a win is the main goal for any team in the end. For D-Wade though, one of the moments that he had against the Oklahoma City Thunder Tuesday night led him to get hit with a technical foul after he and Serge Ibaka exchanged shoves. And now because of a move that he did during Wednesday night’s match up against the Bobcats, Dwyane Wade will be riding the bench for his team’s game tonight. Wade, unlike some other players in the league, is normally mild tempered and usually just does the regular jawing like most pro athletes do in the midst of competing, is catching some backlash for the kick to the groin that he gave guard Ramon Sessions during Wednesday night’s game between the Miami Heat and the Charlotte Bobcats. As a result of the incident, Dwyane Wade faced a one-game suspension. Before people got too carried away and tried to throw him in the dirty player category, Dwyane Wade took to his Twitter account to speak on what happened, claiming that he did not purposely mean to deliver the low blow to Sessions and that he is always mindful of how he reacts to players on the court for he knows that his sons are watching him and doesn’t want to send the wrong message to them (read from the bottom up):

L.A. Lakers’ Dwight Howard is in a somewhat similar boat as he was called for a flagrant 2 foul against Kenneth Faried in their Wednesday night game against the Denver Nuggets that got him tossed from the game. Although he won’t be missing a game like Dwyane Wade, Dwight Howard had to cough up $35,000 for the foul.

Both Dwyane Wade and Dwight Howard claim that they meant no harm to Sessions or Faried but that won’t silence some NBA fans who think they were way out of line.
