Mariah Carey Hilariously Dodges Nicki Minaj Questions & is Nicki Having a Meltdown?

Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj’s beef seems to have fizzled out over the last few weeks as both superstars are getting adjusted to their new roles as judges on American Idol. While many have speculated that the beef was nothing more than a publicity stunt, it does appear that things may have gotten more extreme than Nicki Minaj wanted. Despite it being reported that Mariah has been somewhat picking on the female rapper during auditions, Nicki was the one who has pretty much gotten the most negative reactions from the beef. And Mariah didn’t help matters any when she suggested that Nicki threatened to shoot her, causing her to beef up her security – claims that Nicki has flat-out denied and blasted the singer for on her Twitter account. Regardless, it’s been said that the drama has played itself out and things are a lot calmer, but that hasn’t stopped Nicki from taking shots at Mariah in her recent lyrics.

Well it appears that Mariah has her own way of shading Nicki Minaj and getting past the beef. Instead of answering Nicki Minaj questions, Mariah has decided to act like she doesn’t hear them all together.

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, when they asked the singer about how she and Nicki Minaj were getting along these days, she hilariously acted as if she never heard the question and opted to talk about herself instead.

American Idol” returns to FOX in a few weeks, but judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj don’t appear to have become best buds just yet.

When Access Hollywood asked Mariah on Wednesday afternoon if the two were getting along and had buried the hatchet, the singing superstar completely avoided addressing the question.

“Christmas time is in here again,” she said. “Have you heard ‘All I Want For Christmas’? My song… I heard something really good about it today.”

Nicki took a different approach when Access asked her a similar question.

“We’re great. Thank you. We’re great,” she said.

 

These two are hilarious.

In related news, those close to the Young Money Head Barbie are saying the female emcee is still taking the Grammys snub to heart. A little birdie tells Urban Belle Magazine that the snub on top of low album sales for The Re-Up have taken a toll on Nicki. Not to mention her new gig on American Idol is taking up a lot of her time and it hasn’t been the best experience. While it’s still being speculated that she may not even show up to the Grammys, the source claims Nicki is feeling really unappreciated as of late. And as a result, they fear she might have yet another bout of depression, something the artist admits she struggled with in the past in an interview sometime last year. The superstar hasn’t even Tweeted to her fans in days, but has been said to be still blocking any of them who “aren’t completely on her side.” The source says:

“Nicki is definitely stressed out. Her schedule for American Idol is insane, and she’s really embarrassed about the low album sales and not getting any Grammy nominations this year. She feels like she gets criticized too much and she really feels like it’s unfair. She just really feels unappreciated. We’re hoping it’s just another phase and she’ll snap out of it soon. Nicki is too hard on herself and doesn’t take disappointments well.”
