Nick Cannon may be married to the love of his life singer and new American Idol judge Mariah Carey, but he was quite the bachelor before he began dating and falling in love with the singer. Nick’s most well-known relationship besides the one he has with Mariah was the one he had when he was younger with Christina Milian. Although the two were a cute couple and seemed happy, the couple called it quits after Nick was accused of cheating on Milian and it was rumored that she caught Nick creeping through a series of text messages. But what most people don’t know about is the relationship he had with a certain reality star who is currently linked to rapper and producer Kanye West. Kim Kardashian and Nick Cannon dated a few years ago before the reality star embarked on the sex tape fame that made her the big time reality star she is now.

After breaking things off with her ex boyfriend Ray J and the beginning of what became the sex tape scandal, Kim met Nick and the two began to date. At the time, Nick began to hear rumors that Kim had a sex tape, but he says Kim denied having a tape, so when it was confirmed thanks to hundreds of media outlets, Nick felt betrayed.

In a recent interview with Howard Stern, Nick claims that it was Kim’s lie about the sex tape that made him call things off romantically with the reality star:

“This was my issue…We talked about this tape…And she told me there was no tape. If she might have been honest with me I might have tried to hold her down and be like ‘That was before me’ because she is a great girl. She’s actually one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. But the fact that she lied and told me that there was no tape?…And I still think she might have even had a part to play with it.”

Nick claims that despite lying about the sex tape, he still thinks she’s a really nice person and a great business woman.

Kim wasn’t the only celebrity Nick discussed in his interview, apparently the husband of Mariah Carey also has a friendship with Chris Brown and spoke on how unfairly he thinks the media treats Chris when there are other celebrities who have abused women, but seem to get a pass.

He says:

“I can’t judge him. I talked to him right after that happened. I felt bad for him,…He was searching for his friends…There is never any reason to put your hands on a woman, but Chris Brown is not the monster the media is making him out to be, and I stand by that today.”

When Howard Stern asked him how he knows that Chris Brown isn’t a monster, Nick says:

“One, cause I know him. And two, if we’re going to create a monster out of every celebrity that’s involved in domestic violence and all this stuff, then we gotta be mad at Sean Penn. We gotta be mad at Tommy Lee…We almost forget about Charlie Sheen and we praise Charlie Sheen. We forget entertainers are crazy. Why are we putting them up on a pedestal anyway? Of course, we don’t want to glamorize it, but he [Brown], he’s not a monster…He’s a young man that needed help at the time, and he was searching for someone to reach out.”

However, Nick joined rapper Game in being a little bit of a hypocrite when he expressed that he’d kill Chris Brown if he did what he did to Rihanna to his daughter:

“Absolutely not. That’s my daughter!…If Chris Brown hit my daughter? He’s not living anymore.”

He also defended Rihanna for taking Chris back into her life, but he says he feels like Rihanna has some issues and has some responsibility in what went down in 2009:

“She’s in love Howard. Young girls fall in love all the time…There must be some issues there. That’s what I’m saying. You gotta dig a little deeper to figure it out. You can’t blame all of this on just one person on one side. There’s something going on. It’s a situation. We all have our issues.”

  1. Rihanna sure does have some responsibility in what happened that night! Now her big fivehead self knows to keep her damn hands to herself!!!! Skank!!!!

  2. Hmm…I think he made a point about Rihanna. I honestly think she needs more counseling than Chris does. This whole Kae situation has shows how mental she really is.

  3. Kim lied about something? Shocker.

Anyway, I don’t condone what Chris did at all, but Nick made some valid points about Rih. That child has some serious issues.

  4. Ya know I am glad he put it out there about Tommy Lee, Sean Penn and Charlie Sheen because there is such a double standard in Hollyweird when it comes to Domestic Violence. Black men aren’t the only men beating their wives u have ur good ole family doc that may knock his wife around a bit or how bout ur town politician and we can’t forget the police that abuse their mates. Chris B isn’t a monster he was a teen when that happened and he’s still a young dude now we all have made mistakes as young ppl. I do believe Rhianna played a role in it she is obessesed with him u can see that in the pics she is always huggin him while he looks awkward.

As for Kim K DAMN this chic has been passed around the entire town she can be as nice as she wants but at some point she needs to value herself. It seems like she is only as good as the man she is sleeping with poor thang I really feel kinda sorry for her she’s a lost soul

    1. I don’t feel sorry for Kim K. All she dates are black men. Maybe if she found herself a nice Armenian man like her father, she’d get the love she craves and desires. I admit that Black men have swag and once you go black, you never go back but she needs to go back. She’s been wifed up twice and both marriages crashed and burned. She’s been playing wifey to some of the most popular men in the States – taking care of them, dressing them and what not only for them to slut her and move along to the next one. As rich as she is and has made her family with the reality shows, her brand is so cheap. She’s made jokes of and is a laughing stock. No one takes her serious and the only friends she has are her sisters.

    2. Well said KeeKeeD…Im glad he mention the other too and not just point our the blacks.

Very good Nick…He’s a good man! I really like Nick. He’s a classy stand up man!

Thanks for keeping it real Nick Cannon!
