We’re pretty sure if there was one thing Nicki Minaj could change about her career, it would be the beef she’s had for the last few months with fellow American Idol judge and music legend Mariah Carey. It’s been rumored since day one that Mariah was not too thrilled about sharing the judging panel with Nicki Minaj. However, Nicki claims Mariah only took issues with it because she wanted to be the only female judge on the show, however, those close to Mariah insist it’s because Mariah feels like Nicki hasn’t paid her dues yet and hasn’t proven herself yet in a wish washy music industry. Regardless, the two aren’t on the best terms, and things only got worse when Mariah accused Nicki of threatening to shoot her. Nicki did deny making the threats, but a source close to the situation claims that the beef is nothing more than a publicity stunt to improve dwindling ratings. Unfortunately for Nicki, she just seems to be getting the bad end of the publicity.
As a result of publicly beefing with Mariah, many other celebrities has given their opinions on the current American Idol controversy. Many, including Queen Latifah, believe that Nicki is wrong and needs to stay in her lane since she’s only had success for a few years, while Mariah has had success for decades.
Sharon Osbourne is the latest celebrity to give her opinion on the beef and not only did she go after Nicki’s shorter resume but she also took shots at her wig collection.
In a recent interview with Heat Magazine, she says:
“Nicki Minaj is out of her league, darling! She needs to just sit there with her silly wig on and say nothing, because she cannot compete with Mariah. Nobody could! You’ve got to earn your right to be a diva. Having one or two hit records does not earn you the right to be a diva. That’s what old Nicki Minaj has to realise – she’s very talented and she’s had a couple of really big records – but give me a call in 20 years, darling, and then we’ll see how you’re doing. I have no time for divas; I cannot be bothered.”
In related news, we told you that a source told Urban Belle Magazine that Nicki is having somewhat of a meltdown since she’s dealing with the drama of American Idol, the Grammys snub, and the flopping of her Re-Up album. We’re sure this little interview won’t make her any happier, especially since she recently revealed that she feels like most people in the industry are against her.
Sharon is a hater. Nicki has achieved a lot in her career and she hasn’t been in the game that long. That’s impressive and I think that’s really why Mariah is salty.
Why does Mariah need to be salty about Nicki’s “success?” She’s had her success ten times over. LOL.
Sorry yall, but it’s the truth! Mariah is a great singer and had some great songs but it took her years to even get on this show. Nicki got on it like what 3 years into the game? Nicki is doing big things and Mariah is doing what exactly? Oh.

Nicki’s own stuck up, negative attitude will be her own undoing. She never should have came at Mariah, even if they asked her to for ratings. Those are two artists that simply can’t be compared. Nicki Minaj is just dealing with the harsh reality that two albums and a few hits don’t make you a diva or give you the right to challenge people who are clearly out of your league. Have a seat and re-evaluate your actions and your career, then maybe everyone will stop dissing you.
