Tami Roman’s reality TV career went into full swing when she became a member of the Basketball Wives cast. The reality TV world was familiar stomping grounds for her yet this particular show has led to more fame and fans. While Tami has managed to gain a lot of fans from being on the show, not everyone loves Tami’s behavior as it put her in a very negative light, Tami quickly becoming known as the punch-throwing, purse-snatching bully of BBW. And to this day, it has been hard for her to shake that image and convince people that she has made some major changes personally. Even though people may not be buying into Tami’s so called change, she is still holding on to her claims of not being a bully. And as far as the show itself is concerned, Tami, along with other cast members, claim that the upcoming season of Basketball Wives will be much different than what is used to being seen from the show. Talking with Cocoa Fab, Tami says that herself and the other cast members are doing things much different this time around, showing viewers that they can do more than curse each other out and throw punches and are giving the show more of a family appeal:

“People are really going to be surprised at the approach we’re going to take this season because it’s more family oriented, not as much drama,”

Basketball Wives, along with other hit reality TV show Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, has been questioned for its authenticity, some people not willing to believe that what is seen on the show is 100% real and that it has to be scripted. As she can’t speak for other shows, Tami says everything that was shown last season was definitely real but only a fraction of what goes on in their lives:

“What you’ve seen in past seasons was real, but that’s not how our lives are 98% of the time. We’re excited to show you more than just the drama,”

Tami will be returning to Basketball Wives and she is also taking on another gig along with Actress Elise Neal, all of her projects keeping her fairly busy. As for how people think of her, Tami says that she really isn’t as bad as she may appear to be:

“I’m really a loving person and you’ll see that on season five.”

As for the cast for Season 5 of Basketball Wives, a few new faces will be seen as it has been reported that Tasha Marbury (Wife of NBA player Stephon Marbury), Brandi Garnett (Wife of Kevin Garnett) and Hope Alexa (Ex of Dwight Howard) will be joining the cast, Jennifer Williams, Kesha Nichols and Royce Reed, who confirmed her departure, were the ones who will not be returning.

As for Tami’s claim that Basketball Wives having a more positive spin on it for the upcoming season, are you buying it?

  1. I can’t really think of a storyline for any of these women that will be interesting. They have the personalities of dry paint. I am not even excited for the next season.

  2. They are trying real hard to make it seem like hey are all of a sudden some classy chicks. Please. Too late. The whole world now knows how trashy you “women” are.

  3. The damage has already been done. From jump, they should have made the show more family oriented. It’s time for the show to get the boot, both of them.

  4. The old drunk is promising not to be herself on TV. LOL, right. Tami’s been Tami since The Real World. All of the chicks are miserable hags with no class. Showing them in any other light is inaccurate. They are exactly who we saw last season.

  5. Sadly, if they are to civilized and positive, the show will fail. People don’t want quality reality TV, but they don’t want people hopping on tables and throwing bottles. There’s a way to have drama without going overboard. RHOA gets it…I don’t think Shaunie does.

  6. Family oriented? So it’s going to be a snooze fest. This show can only be on the extreme side for some reason. Either too ratchet or too boring. Yeah, this will be the last season.
